Hi Ramster,

I stayed there for 6 weeks and it suited me fine.

Great pool, friendly staff. Food is great ( pool or room service ) as it comes from the tantawan Resturant. I paid about 1100 Baht per night for a standard room ( pay for three , get one free ).

On my next trip I will probably stay somewhere else as they were not that flexible when I wanted a better rate on the room. Also, when I checked out after 6 weeks they made me pay 600 Baht for the extra 4 hours late check out.

The cheapest rooms are in need of renovation but are fine for me.

Jimmy

Hi Ramster,
Yes the TP is close to the beach, its situated on the Beach Rd.Its also only a 5min walk to Bangla Rd.An alternative in your price range ,even closer to Bangla and still on Beach Rd is Patong Villa. There are quite a few references to this place in the accommodation section.for more info go to
www.patongvilla.com
Have a good trip

Wink thank you dawsey

I looked at the patong villa and it looks great. I think that will be the place to stay for us. Will they let us bring a girl or two back to the room with no joiner fee? We thought about going to Phi Phi we looked into Charlie Resort does anyone know about this place or have a recomadation there? Thank you all

Yes you can bring a girl back without joiner fee.If you can get one,Rooms 104-108 on ground floor are great.Open the patio door, over a small wall and you are in the swimming pool .They are classed as the superior rooms.I don't recommend the restaurant though, pricey and not very good food.I haven't stayed at Charlie Resort on Phi Phi but I believe it has been given good reports by BM s who have stayed there.

I have stayed at Charlie Resort 3 times. Good place, close to the beach.(but witch hotel on phi phi isnt close to beach...).
Ok bungalows in 3 rows. The closer the beach, the more expencive. They have also apartments for rent.

http://www.phi-phi-hotel.com/pp-charlie-resort/

I payed 700bath for a bungalow in the last row.
