Advice On Travel Agenda

Here's my tentative itinerary:

Aug. 31st, arrive BKK 1am: Stay at the Dynasty Inn until Sept. 3rd.
Sept. 3rd, leave to Pattaya: Stay at Dynasty Inn (or Resort) via free transfer until Sept. 5th.
Sept. 6 fly to Phuket: Stay at Stoney Monday or ? until Sept. 8th.
Sept 9 Fly to BKK, no overnight hotel since I leave BKK Sept. 10th at 6am (shit what a terrible time to leave . No time for a TG, no time for sleep).

What do you boys think of this? Any other hotel advice or timeline advice? Damn this will be a short and rushed trip. Maybe I should just cut out Phuket or Pattaya? Shew..

You'll need a holiday when you get home with that itinerary. Drop Pattaya, you'll enjoy Phuket so much better.

When you leave Phuket you've got 2 options

1) leave Phuket around lunch time to Bangkok, and you'll still be able to hit Nana for the night. Just book the hotel taxi to the airport for 4am.

2) catch the last flight to Bangkok and make your way to the International Terminal and spend the night at the 24 hour bar, theres also a Burger King there for the hunger urges. They used to have 2 for 1 happy hour from midnight.

Either way your going to be shit faced for the flight back home.

I agree with the guys. It is alot to pack into such a short time. Especially as it is your first trip to thailand. So i would definately recommend just doing BKK and phuket, and take your time to soak it up and enjoy everything.

Pattaya is definately worth going to see, but i would leave it until your next trip. Dont worry it will still be there when you come back...

Definitely, thats too much to do in a week, especially if you haven't been to LOS before. You just won't have time to chill out and enjoy any one place before its time to pack and go. If I was you, I'd even consider cutting the Bangkok bit off the front. Land in Bangkok, fly straight on to Phuket (there are flights just about every hour of the day) or catch a taxi to Pattaya. Stay settled in one of those two places for a good while, then come back to Bangkok one or two days before you fly home. Then you can spend a bit of time looking around the city and you'll make better use of that last day you have before your 6 am flight.

This Could Be A Good Thing!

Ahyes isn't spending enough time in any one city for the girls to memorize his mobile number or email address for those future "correspondences". They're going to have to work fast on you !

to be honest with that short a trip if i was you i think i would drop phuket.pattaya is gonna be better for in your face 24/7 action and in the short time you got phuket aint gonna offer as much asction as pattaya.
phuket is more relaxing in the day and partying at night, and a couple of days aint gonna be no good,it will probably screw you up as you wont wanna leave at all.where as pattaya is at it all the time and you will prob be relieved to get away home for a break.

Yeah, Phuket or Pattaya? Which ONe?

YEah, good advice from all. I was thinking of dropping one of those towns. So, Pattaya for non-stop action. Phuket for some action with a more relaxed pace. I was thinking of heading straight to Pattaya from BKK, but by that time I felt I might be ready to drop from jet lag and exhaustion. Plus my flight arrives at 12:30, which means a more realistic time of 2-3am by the time I'm through customs.

And BK has some stuff worth investigating too, The discos for FLs, and the Eden Club. THough I'm really looking for stunners, not 5/10s that do Greek.

Hmm, choices, choices. Keep the advice coming though.

Still Undecided

I've heard that customs at that time of night/morning (flight arrives at 12:30am/0030), should be quick. Is that true? So, I could realistically hop on a taxi and be in Pattaya by 2:30am. I guess I could handle that without dropping from exhaustion. Sleep in and hit the town running for the BGs.

Damn I've been thinking of this trip for about a year now. Tell 'em Godzilla is cumming cuz I'm going to rip 'em up!

Another tentative schedule:
Aug 31 arrive BKK hit Pattaya by 2:30am. Sleep in. Leave for Phuket Sept. 4th. Via Asia Air or Thai Air (?, I gotta book that now, or when I arrive there?).
Sept. 4 - 9 Phuket at the ? hotel. Leave for BK Sept. 9 play all night before my 6am flight back. Ho, shit faced I'll be alright!

I still want to hit BK but true, 3 places is just too much in so little time. This will be my first and likely only time to LOS. I'll have to make it memorable!

ARE YOU SURE ? Are you getting married on your return to someone who refuses to travel and therefore you wont be either?
Im bemused by this comment. My bet is you will become like the rest of us.. a frequent visitor and HOOKED.

I still think you are better doing BKK/Phuket or BKK/Pattaya. Phuket + Pattaya as your choices are a little too similar as destinations go. Considering you only have 9 days, both these places involve some time travelling and dont deliver much of a different experience.

I would still either head straight to Phuket or Pattaya, spend a week, relax, enjoy, then drop back into BKK for a couple of days (enough). Or vice versa do a few days in Bangkok then finish with a week in Phuket/Pattaya. Depends what you want your first and last impressions of thailand to be. Beach resort or big exciting metropolis.

Good luck. PS. Do what you want its your holiday !

Alright ahyes ,When i got to bkk i took a flight straight to patong and it took me all of 5mins to get my passport stamped, I spent more time waiting for my luggage than at customs it took about a half an hour. Then just jumped in a taxi and an hour later i was in patong, And like you i thought i was going to get jetlag but it never happened, I was straight out on the piss, Found a little honey brought her back to the hotel ****ed her, Back out clubbin and then back to the hotel for more sweet lovin and for the next 10nights it was the same, What ever you do dont sleep in on the 1st night thats just a waste, Even if you feel tired just go out find a little cutie(no matter what time it is) bring her back to the hotel, Do your worst to her, Give her 1000baht if you want to sleep alone, And then just sleep through the day, And just repeat that for the rest of your stay, You'll ****in luv it, Enjoy yourself mate

My advice is

Go to Bkk then immediatley get on a flight to Phuket, spend most of the vacation in Phuket. Go back to Bangkok for two days on the end of your trip. By then you will have had time to talk with all of us guys based here in Phuket who will then help you with your schedule for Bangkok as it's quite a large city and you won't have much time there. You will have had a much better experience then if you went to Pattaya instead, as your first trip you always remember. Phuket is a much more gentler and smaller with all the girls you need on a trip.

Cheers!
