Guest friendly
Other than the obvious and well known like, C&N, Stoney Monday and Victoria Guesthouse, can BM's post here any accommodation place that they KNOW for certain is guest friendly, not I think so or anything like that. Also state if you know it is guest friendly, but you need show email, just to remind them that they are in fact guest friendly.
Also include any accommodation places that allow guests but charge, and advise the charge if know.
If its already been listed somewhere in the forum, then I already have those details

Charging for a guest, is not considered guest friendly.
But, considering this, also include accomm places that do charge and you know what the charge is.
If it has been stated in the forum somewhere before, I already have it.

Sabai Bungalow - at the end of Soi Sansabai - no fee no ID
Expat - end of Soi Sunset no fee - no ID
Orchid Recidense - Soi Sansabai - confirmed by e-mail - not tried it
I believe all hotels in Soi Sansabai are guest friendly - but not verified.

Patong Pearl Resotel. 100% guest friendly. Girls usually have to leave ID at the front desk, if they remember to ask for it.

Paripas Mansion , Soi Veerakit off Soi Nanai.
No problem with guests , only ask for ID if you are a big butterfly bringing new girls each night , if you stay with 1 you like for a few days they stop asking.

You were lucky! I had a single room there for 2 nights in 2000. Paid 1200 B in low season and had to pay 300 B joiner fee. But as their website advertised that it was 300 B for an extra person, I had nor reason to be angry.
Kamala bay Terrace Resort in Kamala was the worst place I've been. I had to pay an extra for a single room (no way to book a double if you come alone) and furthermore they had a joiner fee of 1000 B + VAT / night

Tropica Bungalow
You can try booking a double at the Tropica Bungalow (On Beach Road right near Soi Bangla). If you did that they didn't used to charge for your guests.

I booked a single room with a tour op in January and I brought my BG/GF to my room every night, but, as they told me they would charge a guest 1000 BTH/night, I just avoided to go with her in front of the reception desk, swimmingpool and breakfast, so I had nothing to pay. But This is a good hotel for family and I understand they dont like too much to see farangs with BG there.
Anyway, I will not go there anymore as it is more than 1 km away from Kamala and you can find guest friendly cheaper (but not so beautiful) hotels in the village.

I had friends staying at Sea Sand Sun resort, they were told they had to pay a joiners fee but when they checked out they did not need to pay anything. They worried too much because lot of girls used to go their rooms in the night without asking for it.

That's what I tried to do BUT the staff was very awful:
For instance, one time I received a phone call in the middle of a night where they said "Mister you have lady in your room you must come register at the reception"
or not even better when they came knocking at my door at 8 AM to make the room (I'm not paranoide but I know that it was to check if I was alone or not).
It was on my first tirp to Thailand on a package tour. When I came back, I wrote to Best Tours to complaint about their attitude. They replied me that they received a lot of complaints concerning this hotel and that they will remove it from their folders but 5 years later it's still there.
I remember a young couple from Belgium (a flemish married with a girl who was adopted but originally from somewhere in Asia) who contactedd the local best tours agent to change hotel because the staff was really bad with the girl.
It's for families, OK so it means that you are not allowed to marry with an asian girl as they seem to treat all asian girls like prostitutes. It's a behaviour absolutely unacceptable !!!
One time I planned to go to Patong and a couple of Germans proposed me to share their taxi (the hotel has a taxi service). Do you know that the hotel staff tried to not let me go with them?
That place is a big shit!!! I really hate money minded people !!!

I stayed at the Kamala Bay Terrace Resort last week for 5 days and when i brought a guest to my room, we just walked to my room without anyone seeing, since you don't have to go through the lobby to get to your room, and they didn't charge me any extra fees.

I was able to do it 2 or 3 times but after they began to call me in my room or even send maids in the early morning.

Me too, I staid there more than 2 weeks, bringing back my BG (always the same girl) to my room every night, but avoiding the lobby and I have never had any problem. On night, a guard asked her if she was staying at the hotel, she answered she was my GF and he let her go.
But I know they usually charge 1000 bath for a joiner. Just avoid the lobby, swimming pool, breakfast and be discreet ... but for the price you pay there, if you dont enjoy the facilities, take another hotel ... what I did on my following trip.
