October in LoS
Howdy People
This is my first post so please go easy on me...  I am booked up with flights to BKK in October to hook up with Thai chick I met in BKK in July. Am planning to treat us both to 10 days on an island, and Phuket seems to be top choice so far. My question is a fairly vague one really... I hear that if I get her to book flights/hotel in BKK I can get Thai price as apposed to farang prices. Anyone know anything about this ? Also I would rather just book the first night and then have a look around Patong for somewhere to stay when I get there, giving me the luxury of having a nose around the room/facilities before I hand over any cash. Will I have availaibility problems doing it this way ??...(I will arrive around 11th October and stay for 10 days.) Any advice greatly appreciated. Great forum by the Way...

Thai airways used to have a Thai/resident sort of deals, but with all the low cost carriers now competing on the route, there are heaps of low airfares to be had, just get in early. October isnt particularly busy season, so hotel deals can also be found.
