I stayed there for 3 days i think, compared with the salathai which is 1 minute walk away it sucks, depends what your budget is.

I have heard many BMs who stayed at patong resortel and they were happy with it. And you get a swimming pool.

Salathai is nice too but I guess lot higher rates.

I always stay there when I go to Patong. I think it's great. Nice rooms, nice pool area, quiet, great staff, no problem with guests and pretty good value.

That's true mate, it's smaller and not nearly as luxurious as the Sala Thai, which is just up the street, but I think it's about 500 baht a night cheaper, so you get what you pay for.

A lille Off Topic but last night the reception called me and asked if I had a lady or were alone on my room! I told them that I was alone, ok she said and hanged up!

Do you guys think that thaey are charging me a joiner fee???

Also, I left som laundry there! First of all it was real expensive and when I got it back a t-shirt was missing! Ok, not a big deal but it was a brand new Hugo Boss t-shirt that I bought before I left! It cost over 2500 bath in Sweden!

Does anyone know if there is a chance to get some money back for that?

i always make a note of what i have put in for washing and when i hand it to the cleaners,i make a note of telling them i have made a note of what was being cleaned.
on a trip last september i lost a pair of jeans and 3 t-shirts.the t-shirts didnt really bother me but the jeans did,and what i couldnt work out was what thai was gonna get into them,i have a 36inch inside leg and i aint ever met a thai with legs as long as mine.

Hello mate. That phone call sounds strange. They never used to care about who was in your room - I'd be disappointed if things have changed. The only thing I can think was that they'd spotted some girl wandering around the hotel, didn't know who she was with and were trying to trace her. Let us know what happens there, OK?

As for the lost laundry, yes, I'd definitely try and get some money back from them for that. But you'd have to do it while you're still staying there, before you check out, or your chances would be less than slim. Good luck and, again, please let us know what happens.

I'd be really sorry if things are going downhill there as I've often recommended the place on this forum.

Paddy! No worries dude, I wasn´t charged any extras for bringing ladies to my bungalow! But I was a little worried when I recieved that phonecall!

About the laundry, they didn´t charge me 500 bath extra for checking out 17.00 instead of 12.00! Ok I guess, but the other 2000 bath is up in smoke!

It´a bit difficult to communicate sometimes as you all know!
