Blue Ocean Resort

Anyone had any experience of Blue Ocean Resort on Soi Kepsab.Looks good on the website and the price is OK.I know its a bit of a walk to Bangla Rd but thats not a problem.Im still trying to decide accommodation from 24/3 to 2/4 as I'm fixed up for the following week.Any comments appreciated.

Stayed ther in May/June,pretty good digs for the price, nice swimming pool, but charged a 200baht joiner fee.Girls on the front desk were really friendly, and the cleaners were happy(?) to make up the room whatever time I surfaced.Good place to stay off-season,but the price hike for xmas was a bit too rich for my blood,850 (low season) rising to 2200 (xmas) so it's the Expat for me for Crimbo, but I'd definitely stay there in low season.

Cheers bonnetti,
Fixed up at Jintana Patong Hotel now.Not quite so posh but has plenty of facilities and half the price.Closer to Bangla also. Thanks for details though.

The other thing I forgot to mention, was the fact that you had to run the gauntlet of tailor shops and stalls set up at the beach road end of Soi kepsup. They were persistent little b*****s I can tell you!!!!
