CNN is where most BM`s stay.
Do a search and you will find many threads about nonjoiner fee hotels..

I guess C&N Hotel is what you mean CNN is where some of the BMs watch their world news BUT I don't stay there anymore due to the hotel jacking up their rates due to overwhelming demands by BMs.

Lots of nicer places out on Nanai is you ask me.. I prefer to be a bit out of the madness..

Palm View on Nanai top spot often used by expats and quiet Brits..

Andaman Hill (??) nice rooms, good pool, good service. Bit close to Nanai Rd. Make sure you haggle and clearly state no joiner fee at booking (they are cool about it you just need to let them know your not a mug) I have had rooms in here for 500 a night over Song Gran and for the type of room you get thats a steal. I am guessing 700 - 800 after knocking them down from a grans would be higher season prices.

Blue Sky residence (goes by another name for the same place also) nice new rooms, small pool that does not get much sun, no joiner hassles... I think a whole month there I haggled to 10k for a buddy (330 baht a night !!) in low season. High % of Germans staying there and poolside.

All these places provide rooms modern and clean enough to feel comfortable in, they may not be the Ritz or have resturant / room service but they are less nosey about what you get up to etc.

If you are looking for a month or longer there are lots of rooms / studio flats that are rentable on nanai but its hard to book them, more arrive and get a room and go hunting as the owners tend to just rent them as they are taken rather than solid bookings...

I know 'Marcel' has a place just set back from Nanai with resturant downstairs and pool, nice quiet spot, one bedroom apartments (living / dining / kitchen open plan, then bedroom and bathroom) that are reasonable.. Think I have his number in my phone, forget the name of the place but near the Nanai 2 junction. For really quiet and out of the way Baan Suan on the Mountain Rd and Baan Suan 2 and its next door place (the tavern ??) all do big rooms at long stay prices for the longer term visitor. Byron is managing the Baan Suan 2 now and that has a penthouse apartment that goes at around 17 - 20 per month. The mountain Rd is a bit far out of town for a lot of visitors that have yet to get jaded by downtown though.

TryThis One

Try Stoney Monday Oasis Hotel...Aftermuch prodding by me, a few BM's have tried it and like it.

www.stoneymondayhotels.com

They give BM's a 10% discount, DO NOT charge a Joiner fee and is OZ owned.

Cheers
