Orchid Hotel, Kalim Bay - Guest friendly?

'Morning, all.

I'm heading to LOS in early December and have been enjoying this forum for the past few weeks as I plan the trip. I'm going to hit BKK, Phuket, Ko Phi Phi and a few other spots I haven't yet discovered... For the Phuket portion, I'm keen to try the Orchid Hotel (not Orchid Residence) north of Patong in Kalim Bay. I did a bunch of searching on the forum, and came up dry. Are they guest friendly?

If i was you, I would email them and ask the question ''are you guest friendly - no joiner fees'' They will soon let you know either way.

the line about "you and your family" in the description of the hotel sounds suspect for no joiners, but email them to be sure. I booked a double occupancy this time for $3 more per day and had no joiner fee at seaview in south patong, I highly recommend the junior suite.

Thanks for the input gents. I rec'd a reply from the hotel this morning:
"About joiner Normal no free but we can talk after if you here". Kind of vague, so I plan to push back and see if they can be a bit more specific. If it's only a few hundred Bht, I'd probably go for it as I'd really like a hotel on one of the more quiet beaches like Kalim, Karon or Kata (I plan to rent a bike).
