Staying in Patong

Hello Fellow BM's, after much deliberation I have decided to ground myself in Patong. I couldn't hack being too far away from this action I've heard so much about. I know this is the $100000 question. But I would like to know recomendations for me and my three mates, we all want our own rooms. We would love to be able to have a communal area with couches etc with a great view. or alternativley have our own separte bungalows. The rooms have to be nice, and with no charge for entertaing BG's. We want to spend around 30 pounds a night max. Thank you so much peeps.

How can it be bad tintin?
Surely you would prefer there to be plenty of people about, loads of LBFMs ,and a party atmosphere. That must be better than it being dead???
