Summer Breeze Hotel

Returned to Australia Thursday 21st May having stayed at the Summer Breeze Hotel for six nights. Great location, very clean rooms and great $$$ value. Staff were very friendly and attentive and I would highly recommend this hotel for single males or couples. Fairly quiet considering the location. Jungceylon and Bangala Rd only a 100m walk. The best Tom Yung Goong soup Ive ever tasted.

I'll be staying there, for the first time, in July and looking forward to it.
I picked SB over a free stay at the Hilton, because of location and its reputation.
Never seen a bad review.

Great place. I have stayed there 4 of my 5 trips to Patong. The one time I did not stay there was my first trip....I did not know about it then.

Definitely my number 1 choice in Patong!

Didn’t try the Tom Yung Goong soup, thought, but will give it a try next winter.

Just returned from 3+ weeks in SB and as always a great place to stay. As has been said the staff are really friendly and make your stay so enjoyable.
It is so convenient to the beach, Bangla , Jung Ceylon centre with movies etc

Beer in tap - really good too

And keep away from dennisinkamala - if he is there , he tries to chat up ALL the girls

I'll give my thumbs up too. Stayed for 2 weeks a couple of weeks ago. The staff are really good and super friendly. Jaeger bombs are the order of the day or night. A good fun hotel to stay in, close to everything. And Tien called me her "sexy man"

Somsak is a great chap, i stay at SB every visit and he always looks after you irrespective of what state you're in. As for the girls they are all fantastic and dragging Tien away from the Kangaroo Bar was a stroke of genius by Bill. He may be a tall American from LV who spends too much time each morning at the gym and he eats far too much chili - that aside he's a top bloke. They run a very good Guesthouse and it's value for the money. You can't go past it..........

********QUICK QUESTION********

Do you always have to send your credit card details as deposit for your room?? I hate sending my cc details just in an email. Is there any alternative?

Just ask Bill or one of the staff Waharoa. If they have that channel, they will oblige. Great place to sit with a beer and watch sport. Feeling peckish? No problem, they will rustle up some tucker without a fuss.

Without doubt, the best value for money guesthouse in Patong.

Stayed there twice now. Not impressed with the cleaning staff shouting to each other and to other guests outside the rooms when I was trying to have a lie in. Not just a one off, they did it every day. When I was checking out one of the cleaners that had woken me up every day tried hassling me for a tip!

Sounds like a load of crap, from my point of view! I hope you spoke to one of the owners over it...............

So, you weren't impressed 1st stay, but booked again? No? Then it must have been satisfactory for you to book a second time? Or a glutton for punishment?

Did you mention any of your concerns to the management over the "noise"?
Nothing wrong giving a negative report, but appears to me you are making something out of nothing, or just complaining after the event when you could have done something about it at the time.

Actually I only checked in the 2nd time as I arrived in the evening and just told the cab driver to drop us in Soi Sansabai thinking I'd just see where I ended up, it was more than a year after my previous stay at Summer Breeze and in fairness I thought the rest of the staff seemed OK, so thought I'd give it another go for a couple of nights.
No, I didn't mention it to the manager, but I did do something about it - I went and checked in at the C&N..... problem solved.
No big deal really, but as there was a thread about the place I thought I'd add my thoughts.

It can happen, but why didn't you talk to Bill or the frontdesk?? I am sure they would have taken care of things, when you have mentioned your findings.

Besides that... I once had a great time with Somsak watching a Liverpool game on the big screen in the lobby. Somsak is a big big Liverpool fan!

Another Great Stay

Just back from a 15 night stay at the Summer Breeze and can safely say i won't be staying anywhere else next time around.

Had the same room as last trip (101). It is on the 1st floor at the front so may not suite some early to bed types, but is ideal for me. Nice to look out early evening watching some of the bar girls walk into work down Sansabai. It was cleaned to the highest of standards on a daily basis. I can't think of a single fault or improvement that could be made. Bill has even installed new safety boxes !

I eat in the restaurant every day. I couldn't see the point in eating elsewhere when the food was so good (and cheap) and the staff as friendly as they are.

Had a bit of a routine of starting off my night in the bar at about 18:00. Bill has brought together a collection of great girls ( most very easy on the eye ), and there were always a few others Bm's and other customers to have a chat to...

What sums the Hotel up for me is a man i met there named Frank who was from Liverpool. This man is 85 years old and has been travelling to Thailand since 1975. It was his 1st visit to Phuket and he was staying at the Aloha for 3 weeks. He went for a walk on his 1st night and couldn't find anywhere he fancied to have a drink . He then turned down Soi Sansabai and by chance stubbled upon the Summer Breeze. He only popped in for one drink, but was made to feel so welcome that he was in there drinking and eating on every subsequent night of his holiday. He told me he had never enjoyed a holiday in Thailand more than this one because of way he was treated there.

I would like to add something negative to keep Bill on his toes but i really can't think of anything ( well, apart from him letting DennisinKamala stay). Cheers To Bill and all the staff and many thanks for your superb hospitality........

As for previous comments in this thread, Yes, you can on the odd occasion hear the cleaners, but what do you expect, them to walk around in complete silence? Also i wasn't asked for a single tip the whole time i was there.

A few pics, 1st one of me & Frank..
