I reckon only if you register the one guest to share with you
If you plan on taking other guests then I think you will get hit with with the 3000 baht fee.
Best to get another guest friendly hotel if you plan on having more than 1 guest

I'm with geespot on this one, i'm pretty sure it's for only registering the one guest as well....
Any extra and they will probably charge you the 3000bth fee!!!

If you cant cancel and have to stay at the hotel, Just do what i did and get your **** around to c&n and book a room in there for about 600bt/1000bt and just bring the girls back there, And then just use patong beach as your base, That way you know all your stuff is safe, On my last trip i had the same problem with the seaview patong hotel so thats what i done and had a great time, Hope this helps...

If you booked with a CC within the last 90 days simply tell the booking agent to refund you in full due to it being unfriendly to yout Thai girlfriend. Tell them that if thye do not you will instigate a chargeback on the CC payment.
If they fail to agree (I bet they will a refund costs a minimum amount the chargeback costs a lot) then call your CC card company and tell them you have cancelled that payment and they refuse to issue you a refund, explain that you have discovered unfavourable practices in that hotel and that you have attempted to cacell in good faith, its also high season and they have no need to be concerned with each booking at this time of year and you have tried to cancell well in advance to give them time to resell the room.
This WILL get you your money back and is fair practice in my opionion.

Stoney Monday
I walked in Stoney Monday in Oct with no reservation for a Blissful room and I mentioned this board, talked to the female manager and got a 10% off their Internet rate. She also drove me to the airport for 400 baht.

How much did you pay? Plus how long did you stay? And did she give you a price for the room before you metioned this forum, Because i did and got quoted for a 3wk stay in the blissful room(1200baht) and sheer relaxion suite(1600baht), And when i metioned the forum she said that was the best offer she could give so therefore i was not given the 10% BM discount, Plus did you know that the airport pickup and return is included in the price?

No, didn't know about the included airport transportation. I stayed for 7 nights paid in advance and got quoted 800 baht in October (low season) for the 4th floor corner room and when I mentioned this board and the 10% discount she said okay.

Yeah thats what i meant, They charged you for the airport transportation when really you had effectively paid it already, So you really only got 195baht off the internet price of 850baht low-season, So you didnt really get 10% BM discount, If they dont get you one way they get you another

hi patto, you can still take a g/f back to the hotel youve booked, but she has to vacate by 8-00 in the evening as far as i know, otherwise you get charged the joiner fee, so u can still have so daytime nookey !this is what the holiday inn told me when i was booked into it a few years back, never book hotels through a trav agent ,as they only deal with hotels that are family orientated, and dont want b/g s to stay

This hotel is not the holiday inn. Patong Beach Hotel is really strict, they wont give way on the 3000baht joiner fee and you will not get past the security. Thats fact

This hotel does not want gusts bringing back BG's. Their policy is shining bright they really are strict.
The 1st time I went to Phuket I stayed there 2 years ago, it was a great hotel, but beleive me I tried and got caught many times trying to sneek my girl in. I ended up staying in her room for most of my holiday. Funny thing is the very same girl is now my GF/wife
I hear stories all the time about this hotel, their policy has not changed
G
ps there is a good ST/LT hotel on Sainamyen road about 400baht per full day/night, very clean and out of the way of prying eyes. I stayed there same holiday 2 years ago with now GF. Many of my BG's live there short term after leaving our bar house before they find a suitable room

Hi B M i found this on http://www.asiatravel.com/patongbeach/
Hotel Visitor Policy
1. Not allows any non-registered person into the guest's rooms, only meeting at Hotel's lobby is acceptable.
2. In case of the non-registered must stay over night with guests, they must contact hotel reception in order to acknowledge all hotel rules and regulations
3. Hotels will impose a charge of 3,000 THB net per night per persons direct to guests as for extra charge. Also the ID card will be required from the visitors as well.
4. The visitor must leave hotel promise before 9 a.m. in the morning and no right to use any kind of hotel facilities.
5. The guests must to response for any inconvenient may be caused and trouble to the others guests in hotel.
6. Hotels reserve the right to deny any requesting from guests if hotel sees that is not suitable.
They want to charge the 3,000 THB per night I thought it was a once only joiner fee i will definitely be better of getting another room at the C&N i sent them an email they quoted me 1200 THB per night

I stayed at this hotel during my first time in Phuket..very nice room, good facilities but alas due to this policy it was my one and only time...it was quite embarassing when I checked in alone as they (the receptionists) told me in loud voice about the 3000 baht joiner fee...Never again.
