Eva Air vs Phuket Air
I have narrowed down my choice of airline for next trip next March/April between these two. Eva Air is cheaper by £50 a seat and is more convenient leaving from Heathrow. Until I look up the flight times, I won't make a final decision. Has anyone got an opinion on the merits of Eva Air & Phuket Air to help me choose.
Cheers
Dawsey

Eva
Hello Dawsey, I just got back from my first trip to LOS, and flew EVA from Los Angeles to Tai Pei, on to Bangkok. I had a very good experience with my flights. All flights were on time, flight crew was very friendly, and the food wasn't bad at all. Having never flown Phuket Air, I can't compare the two; but from what I saw EVA is a solid operation. Have fun!

Ive never flown Eva Air, but they have a very good reputation
Phuket Air is a budget airline operating old 747 200's which usually requiring re fueling to get to Phuket via middle east stop, Bangkok, then Phuket

Qatar Airways
Have you checked out Qatar Airways on Airline Network.
When I last checked they were doing flights for £386 to Bangkok return. From there you can fly on to Phuket with AirAsia for about £15.
Also Qatar Airways are 1 of only 3 Airlines in the world rated 5*.

I have travelled twice this year with Eva Air from London and Amsterdam. I think it's a very good airline. The Evergreen Delux class is well worth a look. It's a bit more expensive but I think its worth it to turn left on the plane. You can get all the details about this class on the Eva website. Also you can join the Evergreen Delux club to keep a record of your miles travelled. I'm flying with them again next week and they tell me I have been upgraded to Super Business class.

Hi Garyp
Welcome to the board.I have indeed flown with Qatar Airways on previous trips abroad and agree they are a first class airline.Unfortunately the price I am being quoted, through airline network,on the dates I want are too high at £621per seat

Hi n cee,
It looks like I may have to look again as I can't get flights with Eva or Phuket for the dates I want.Thats the trouble with arranging a trip over Easter/Songkran. I can get a flight to BKK with Gulf Air via Bahrain/Abu Dhabi for less than £500 a seat inc taxes.Thai Air are quoting me 5200odd baht return pp.Air Asia is 1000baht each way but they are not operating on 10th Apr when I return because of Songkran.I don't really want to book with 3 different airlines so Im going to check the other carriers from BKK to HKT.
I know what you mean about turning left when you get on the plane.
I'm sure the rotten b*stards at BA enjoy letting economy passengers walk through business class just to let you see what you could have had if you shelled out another wad of cash.

Ouch, what a bummer.
I suppose this is a silly question, are your dates flexible?
