Budget THB1500/nite. Quiet place (Karon or Kata??)

hi therezzzz...

planning to go phuket in 20-23 jan 2005 to celebrate my bday.. need some advice from you guys... on the above.. thanks in advance mann...

i) Which beach is better? Patong is too crowded.. wld prefer a quieter beach...

ii) Is "Your Place Inn" at Karon Beach good? (Add: 33/70-71 Moo 1, Patak Rd., Karon Beach, Muang, Phuket 831000 Thailand)

iii) can i have some suggestions of other hotels which is within my budget..
