Seems OK to me Steve,
Used to fly Easyjet a bit, all you need is email and form of ID.
Not sure about Air Asia but a lot of budget airlines operate on ticketless system - you won't even be allocated a seat on your boarding card, but there will be a boarding number, just grab any seat when you get on airplane

Didn't read steves post properly did I.You are correct Ali
Yes of course airasia is much cheaper than Thaiair.I would have used them but they are not flying over Songkran period

Steve
I have booked 3 times for flights for etickets and they have all stated to show the credit card that was used to pay.I still dont see the problem though if you show your passport & eticket printout .After all, the ticket is in your name.

I have been using Air Asia a couple of times now and it works fine. Just show your booking number and everything will be fine. They charge the credit card you booked on for the ticket(s). I also think they can search on your name if you forgot the booking number.

I never needed to show my card when getting my boarding card (it's like a standard receipt paper).

I know that if using the E-Ticket system of Thai air the person who pays with CC MUST fly with the group or the flight is not allowed..

Booked my brothers GF a ticket via my CC and she was not allowed to fly.

Its not listed in the above T&C's but... Check the small print.

i have checked on the air asia webby and i cannot find anywhere where it says u must have cc payer with you.

Ticketless concept is a replacement of the current method of traditional air tickets that has been used by AirAsia over the last many years. With Ticketless travel, all you need to do is to book your flight and you will be issued a booking number.

Instead of the traditional air ticket, a flight itinerary with your travel details will be emailed or handed to you after you have made your payment. It is important that you provide us with correct numbers where you can be reached.

You do not have to bring your flight itinerary with you for Check-In. All you need to remember is your booking number, or mention your name. You must show your identity card or passport for identification and Check-In purposes.

It is more convenient and so much easier to travel this way. You do not have to bring a ticket along - it is one less thing to forget! And most importantly, it helps us keep our costs low so that we can pass on these savings back to you and keep your fares low!

The only documentation you have to bring are those you should have with you at all times- your Identity Card, or if you are a tourist, your passport.

and i have read all the small print,i am satisfied i only need the booking number.
steve
