There are 2 hotels with similar names in Soi San Sabai , "The Orchid Residence" (who's web-site you've posted) and "The Orchid Guesthouse" which poskat was asking about.
Have stayed at Orchid Residence , it is very nice, guest friendly, and one I'd recommend. Other BM's have stayed at Orchid Guesthouse and also say it is OK.

Zeaker, when are you staying at Summer Breeze?
I am staying in Phuket with TG for five nights from 30/04/06, Summer Breeze quote me 980 baht for a Superior and 1180 for a Summer Suite, whilst Orchid Guesthouse ask 800 baht for a standard room and 1200 for a deluxe room.

hi i s-tayed at the summer breeze for 3 wks over n/year its a great hotel v/friendly but dont go for the cheapest looms as they only have a window to the passage way (great if you like it dark though!)

That explains the rates then, lucky you, staying one month.
I did read a post recently about Summer Breeze which suggested the showers were "weak". I wondered how weak "weak" was, are we talking a dribble? And is there room for two in the shower, me and the TG like to go together.

Last question, at 1180 baht for a Summer Suite, am i likely to find a better place for the same money?
