I finaly orderd my plane tickets, sow I've started to look for a hotel.
I have a few to choose from, and I wondered if anyone have stayed at one
of them? I stayed at the Expat hotel last time,
nice hotel but I like the rooms a litle bigger.
Any tips would be nice.

Looks nice, not seen it before so I suspect location might be a problem. If anyone know where it's located a hint would be appreciated.

My Suggestion as always is .... Try www.stoneymondayhotels.com Stoney Monday Oasis Hotel. they have a special on at the moment for 990 baht including breakfast. It is a great hotel and I always stay there.

Check it out.

Enjoy

Stoney Monday Hotel

It looks good from what I can see on the various webpages I have seen, but two things I don't like...

1. no swimming pool
2. too far from Bangla Road and therefore you have to pay rip-off tuk-tuk fares.

I have spent a lot of time in Pattaya and the equivalent there is a songthaew or "baht-bus" and they are 10 baht a ride. I just hate giving 100 baht to these scumbag tuk-tuk drivers when they should only be getting 10 or 20 baht. If it costs 300 baht for a 30 minute ride to Phuket town, why does it cost 100 for a 30 second ride to your hotel. I have tried to barter down but they just laugh and drive off !! This is the only thing I don't like about Patong.

Cool motor bike taxis

I use the motor bike taxis and I was staying about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the beach up near the fire station The motorbike taxis were 20 baht and if you had a young lovely with you 20 each, so 40.
I only used the farging tuk tuk’s once when it was raining and I think they charged me 300, had me by the balls as it pissing down, bustards they are.

Cool Good

Over the last few years I have booked friends into each one of these and they have all been happy.

Tatum: on Soi Katsup looked after the guests well and is only a short walk to the beach. It is ,however,a ten minute walk to Soi Bangla.GF friendly.

Family Mansion (1 in Soi CNN)and 2 (near crossroads at Soi Namyen) both good value and good service. The 1 is closer to Bangla.GF friendly.

The Orchid Hotel (there's two) both in Soi Sans Sabai.Close to Bangla and friendly service.GF friendly.

Zeaker,
You are 100 percent right, the Ex Pat is nice but I need more space. My last trip to LOS, I had an incredible experience at the Summer Breeze Hotel. You can't beat the location and you certainly can't beat the service. It is on Soi Saen Sabai right next to Soi Bangla. Oh, I almost forgot what is most important to all of us, no girl fine at the hotel. Have a great trip.

Does anyone know what C&N usually charges in February?

Also I passed MSInn a few times last year. looked okay, about a 5-10 minutes stroll from Bangla, however it did seem more family, couple orientated and so not sure if its girl friendly or not.

Hey Zeaker,

I will have to agree with chicago on the Summer Breeze Hotel. I spent my last trip there and really liked the place. Very friendly staff, great location, nice clean rooms and very GF. No charges for guest. Enjoy your next visit. I am planning my next trip and can not wait to get back to LOS.

A short walk to Bangla, nice pool,No JF and guest friendly. Very clean rooms as well. Be sure to ask for a king size bed or you might get a room with twin beds.
