Current Airport Taxi Charges

Is anyone aware of current taxi charges and availability from airport.

Hotels are quoting pick up bet 700 -1000 baht per trip.

Am not so worried about cost but would prefer not to rely on hotel
remembering to pick me up if plenty of taxis available at roughly
same cost

Cheers Bara

550 for the airport cars.. 250 ish plus the airport parking surcharge for the meter taxis..

When I flew back last week I had been told the meter taxi's were moved out.. Asked coming out and was told yes they had moved them out the car park soI grudgingly used the airport (I dont care about the money I try to support the meter taxi's to break the tuk tuk cartel).. Turns out the bastards all lied to me and they were there in the back of the carpark..

22-12-2004 - 550THB from airport, unbooked (bloody Victoria Guesshouse (no typo) 'forgot').

3/1/2005 - 550THB C&N Hotel's branded car to airport, booked at lobby day before.

Both comfy high-end limos - none of these milk-crates-on-wheels-with-a-stolen-lawnmower-engine tuk-tuks...

Yes never paid more than 300 baht taking a metered taxi including tolls to any hotel in the Suhkumvit area.

Really? I would have thought that Phuket Airport (the one we're talking about ) to Suhkumvit would be a good deal more than that...

OK sorry I should learn to read a little better. I have usually paid 550 for a car on my own but last time I went in a mini bus with others from our plane and only paid 150 baht each or 1150 for the bus.
