600baht high season, 400baht low season. Think you'll be hard pressed finding anything cheaper then that.

VECH GUEST HOUSE looks interesting Think iknow were it is ,have you stay there ? Is it god ?

I ´m going there in 2 weeks ..............

You get what you pay for but I'd say it is a good deal at that price, everything worked, simple but covered basic needs and the people working there were all good.

So if staying on a budget it is certainly a place to look into, location in next to Lamai Inn, just past Christin and across the road.

Khun Vech runs the place diligently providing friendly and warm service to his guests. His rooms are decent, not new but has all the necessary amenities. Kinda spacious too except that room I had above his reception had a noisy air con when I last stayed there.
A plus point is that he has a channel on the tv that shows his reception and you get to see all the going ons at the reception from the comfort of your bed. Call or email him ( vechguesthouse@hotmail.com ) and he will reply you promptly.

Theres a few places on nanai that can be haggled for 500, usually have to do it from here though..

Hell I even haggled Andaman hill hotel on nanai (nice clean rooms, nice pool, etc) for 500 per night for 21 days over song gran before..

look at this hotel. nice rooms, aircon, pool, etc. owner is thai.

stayed there from 26th november - 16 december last year.

500 bath / night. of course guest friendly.

Check out Blue sky residence.. Off season prices are very very reasonable..

A mate of mine stayed at touch villa, its at the end of soi c&n, good loc, guests ok, nice and clean (not opened for long) aircon, cable for around 500.

stayed in Kaew Kong Mansion (close to vechgesthouse) last week in a big ac room for 500 bath night..........

Very good room was looking around in that area close to Christin massage and this was the best offer i think....

Nice room big room ,not so good light in the toilet, no elevator the room i get was on 4 floor but for that price it was good , nice people at the reception

The price before tzunami was 1200

I just came back and stayed at the regent guest house on Rat u thit rd near nickys handle bar and 7 11

500 baht walk up price. very joiner friendly and rooms are good

There are tons of hotels for around 500-600 baht a night during the low season. I kinda liked one called Sea Sun Sand near Christins massage. Nice pool, small but nice tucked away atmosphere. Room was uge with a seperate are for TV and couch etc. I paid about 1000 a night though. Dont know what it goes for on the off seasonIf you plan on staying for a month or more, try to find someone willing to rent out a condo. Thats what I did, however I was there for a year. Awesome 2 bed room condo, 2 story, could see the bach from my deck. Paid 16,000 baht a month= about 500 baht a night. BEN
