I stayed in the seaview patong which is probably nearer to bangla than burasari, And believe me its about a 20min walk, But even though I have not stayed in the stoney monday if I was to choose between the two, It would definatly be burasari, It looks so much better than stoney and it has a pool so there really is no comparison.

Just tried to book 2 rooms 24/3-2/4, no chance.Only the junior suite available.
I would guess that a very small number of rooms have been set aside for this promotion.Either that or there are a lot of visitors arriving in Patong soon and they have all booked the Burasai

Deluxe & deluxe pool access rooms deleted from sawadee.

Initially burasari closed until 20 jan after tsunami - maybe hotel
still not fully restored.

BM's in Phuket may know more

Strange thing is when I went online it says that the price is per room, which of coarse would be a great deal, but when I tried it the cost was doubled so who knows. I have sent them a message.

Picking out a place to stay has really been tough this trip...wanting everything..

Also if Burasai is the one I think (attached indian resturant) they were more than rude and I checked out after 2 nights on one of my first visits..

I check in WITH my TG, admitedly she was an ex BG and when she dressed up she was a showoff (large implants etc) wear gold etc, but as a paying guest thats beside the point.. On returning late at night the guard was rude and aggressively demanding ID card etc..

I politely explained that we checked in together and the room was as much hers as mine but he was being a rude cocky ****.. The first time I put it down to it being a security issue and a mix up with guest lists etc.. The next day I spoke to management to clear the issue so it would not happen again..

They agreed but maintained an obvious bad attitude to my girl constantly. On returning to the hotel the following night the guard went through the same palaver even after making great efforts to clear this up properly (and now its the second night with the same girl).. I had not got used to the Thai 'mai pen rai' attitude at that point and came very close to just dropping him as I felt insulted personally and moreso on my girlfriends behalf.

I checked out the next morning (loudly making my opinions known in the lobby) and would never set foot in the place again.

Seems to me they had an obvious dislike to BG guests and wanted to make them unwelcome. The size of the joiner fee would look that way also.

The Burasari

I stayed at the Burasari when I was over last year with my girlfriend. The rooms were good and clean and of a reasonable size. The joiner fee is 1000 baht, and I can say from experience that the pool is a great place to spend a lazy afternoon in the sun.

Although it is not the one attached to the indian restaurant, it is a little further down the soi. It has a tailor shop on one side and is set back off the road.

If I were travelling with a girlfriend/wife or family, I would have no hesitation in staying there again, but as a single traveller I probably wouldn't. The worst part was the walk down beach road every night, to get anywhere for food or drinking etc. Although from memory it was about 15 mins to Bangla, providing you weren't hassled by the street stall holders to much.

Burasari Buffet Lunch

Saw banners advertising Burasari buffet lunch at 99 baht and decided to check it out.
Warmly welcomed by the staff and we sat checked out the food spread. The variety was most disheartening and the taste was bland. Drinking water was not offered but we were persuaded to buy bottled water or other drinks. We ordered water and was served a bottle each (obviously to increase the bill value) when ordinarily a bottle would suffice for 2 persons.
I guess they are using a form of marketing where cheap prices are offered but for limited items or where hidden costs are pushed down throat of clients. Sigh.
