Can anyone recommend any guest friendly place in Karon near shopping/nightlife are that's around 1000 baht a night in march? preferrablly with a sea view balcony.

when are you coming. 100 might be hard, becasue even after tsunami i as getting 1200 for kata sea breeze, which was great, no view, but great hotel, and then a week later, 1600 for karon princess, right on the beach with a view, but i dont think as nice as kata sea breeze. 1000 will be kinda tough, i would imagine they might have eased their prices up too

O'Tools irish bar in Karon.......penthouse suit with juccazi tub and report said it was gf...at 1000 low season

It looked good to me although set back off beach

try the crystal beach next to the mermaid restaurant,gf,across the road from the main bar area,and if you stay more than 4 days i think it goes down to 800 bht

looks quite nice but far from nightlife, located between karon and kata on the hill

Stayed In O Tools Last November Rooms Very Good , Food Good And No Problem With Guests . If You Are Staying For A Period More Than A Few Days You Can Negotiate A Very Good Rate

they charge 2500 baht per room but they offered me 2 nights free for a 8 night stay so i think it's pretty reasonable
