AirAsia feedback
I've been searching this forum, and finding that some are having problems with them. Just wondering how prevalent. Their prices are certainly good.

I did not experience the cancelled flight issue that many have had. However Air Asia was the only airline that had the oxygen masks drop down during my flight with them. I found it entertaining, since we hit some turbulence and were decending at the time, I figured those two factors lead up to it, but there were a few unhappy customers on that flight I guess.
I think I paid 399 baht for that flight too....I'd do it again for sure!

Flown with airasia twice and had no problems. Had half the plane to oursleves last flight but then that was about 1000 baht deal not one of the 299 deals. Usually as you would expect the 299 deal flights are generally always full and although it is very tight the flight is not a problem seeing that it is so short. the only thing is you dont want to be in the seats on the last row as they dont recline and ar almost completely upright yet the seats in front recline and when they do it is almost like they are sitting in your lap and you will be looking at there face. Only problem I have found with them is they do not reply to any of the emails I have sent them in the past. All in all found them to be fine for the money you pay and would use them again as long as things dont change to much, I dont think I would have been all that impressed as magnusvv said with the f'""" oxygen masks dropping down.

Also when coming out from BKK you have to wait in a crappy departure area with no shops / magazines / books or anything.. I had a 3 or more hour check in / wait last time and once in there felt thoughourly trapped and bored..
Will use them again due to prices being so appealing but its definately a buget deal.. Probably would pay the extra if it was a long haul as I dont want any additional stress.

Never had any problems although I've only used them in low season definately no frills apart from the female staff, but the prices can't be beat.

In my experience they always run late...very very very very late. That can be a real pissoff.

As I have said before, you can expect and get anything on the LCC (low cost carriers). If your not tight on your travel plans then no problems, but if your expecting to connect to another flight or have to be somewhere important at a set time, then you should use the full service carriers.
The main problem with the LCC's is there is little/no backup when something goes wrong, as they only offer limited frequency between cities, theres no room to accommodate passengers when an aircraft goes unserviceable.

Air Asia Destinations
I don't think they fly to Europe at all.
They seem to have very limited international destinations.
Have a look on their website
www.airasia.com
I made my bookings on the website and just gave the reference number to the check in desk.
I have used them three times and have been very lucky. The flights were all on time and the aircraft were in good clean working order.
