Not having a good week. Now this.....
Well im i should be going back to los at the end of April but as i went to book the flights yesterday, Thai airways have put they prices up/sold out of cheap flights. So this has made me try to book through agents to get both flights and hotel cheaper than i could booking both seperatly.
Now of course this has put the old question up of "Is the hotel 'guest-friendly'?".
I've done a search already, of course, but couldn't find an answer to this question which others have asked! So.................. Is the Sunset Beach Resort happy with drunken Farangs and their 'friends' ?
Or if anyone has their email address, can i have it please!
Thanks for any reponces to this boring post!

Thai Air seem a little odd like that (or maybe it is the way all airlines work, a friend who works in the travel industry did tell me that airlines 'open' and 'close' parts of each flight day in day out, and if the 'cheap seats' are closed when you book, c'est la vie; not sure I understand this myself)- I booked my flights via Opodo on Monday (London - Bk on May 1st, Bk - Phuket May 6th, Phuket - London May 15th) for £410. Just looked at the flights deal again and £580! When I flew out in Feb I came across the same deal - I payed £570, then four days later, same flights at £410, then £570 again the following day. They may well offer flights at the lower price again for April.
I am staying at the Sunset Beach May 6th - 15th. Not sure it is officialy guest friendly, but I think it is run by a friend or partner of one of the bar owners from Soi Eric (I lost track of what was being said to me at the time due to a subtle combination of bad English on my gf's part and too much beer on my part, but I ended up with their business card in my pocket), so I suspect it will be OK; their rates look pretty good for May.

Thanks for the reply.
I kept checking the prices nearly every day for 2 months now!. They were £420 every day with the odd day of them vanishing but re-appearing the next time i checked! But now they have gone back up to the usual price of £600. So now i have the choice of booking this plus a hotel and having not that much money to spend. Or trying to get a deal with an agent that suits! Oh well, its my fault for not booking when i should of!
The email address for sunset beach was found after an hour of looking. So I've emailed them and now waiting for the reply. To be honest, it would be good to have a pool as im not a beach person. So there is always a silver lining! Besides the price ive been offered is alot cheaper than what i paid last year!
Thanks for the responce.

When I was staying at Sunset Beach Resort one year ago (together with my thai GF), a falang man went up to the reception and just asked: " can you put another bed into my room", which was accepted with smile by the hostess.

Travel Agents
I was amazed that Ebookers flights on Emirates are now up to £805 to BKK. Actually as I write they seem to be £688 now. The £420 flight on Thai seems to have gone and many of the other airlines are simply full. Faced with this, and the fact that I am buying three tickets, I rang a travel agent, told them the price I wanted to pay and they arranged it for me. I am flying EVA delux for £595 including taxes. I was wait listed for a week before I got the flight at the price.
Sometimes the travel agents do know what they are doing even if the computers do not!!

I've been travelling out to LOS to stay with friends for the past 5yrs and appreciate this might sound crazy, but as the deals are looking a bit thin on the ground, BA have some half-decent prices at the moment.
Usually I wouldn't go there, but they were £497 to BKK inc.taxes, after Songrakan. Easter will also bump the prices, once both holidays are over it should settle down again - I hope!

I wouldnt touch BA even if they were offering free flights with free blow jobs!
I have flown with them twice before and they even made Air India look good! Never again!!!!!
No offence meant to anyone who stands about ignoring passangers whilst wearing BA uniforms! Just my personal opinion
