I always fly with MA, i know you can take cheaper flights but i found an airline i really like, never had delays, good food, good service, allows you to get drunk, a little less room on the 747 then on the 777 but still ok.

Talking Malaysian airlies

Hi

I flew London to KL and then one to Phuket last year. It was one of the better airlines. I rate them better than British Airways and KLM. The food and leg room is great

When I was living in Kuala Lumpur, the boarding passes issued at KL airport said on the back "Being intoxicated on a Malaysian registered aircraft, will result in life imprisonment", or something along those lines.

I dont think the flight attentants where aware of it, as they were always giving me another beer. If I recall, the best effort we did was KL to Bangkok and I had 11 Tigers. Thats beers, and not the Thai rocket fuel.

I think the best flight from KL to Bangkok was on ANA (Japanese). We asked if they had saki onboard, and she asked what type we wanted. We shrugged and said what types are there, so she brought us both 3 different bottles of saki. Needless to say by the time we got to Bangkok, we were well on the way.

here is my brief review of the airlines I have flown with london - bangkok over the last few years

Phuket Air (Tuesday deps. only LGW)
pros :- very cheap , direct flight outward , usually loads of space ie. u can generally find a row of seats to yourself , if your nippy about it.
cons :- frequently delayed , not allowed of the plane when it touches down in Abu Dhabi on the return leg.

EVA air
pros :- direct flight both ways , cheap at certain times of year.
cons :- pot noodles for dinner

Thai air
pros :- direct flight both ways , cheap at certain times of year , food, good legroom , star alliance member
cons :- can be quite expensive at other times.

British airways
pros :- cheap at certain times of year , direct flight both ways , can help yourself to snacks at the back of the plane whenever you feel like it.
cons :- can be quite expensive at other times.

Singapore airlines
pros :- cheap at certain times of year , good inflight entertainment with videos in back of seats. , star alliance member
cons :- stopover at changi both ways , but only about 2 hours.

Malaysia airlines
as per singapore , but with longer stopover in KL , again both ways around 4 hours

All Nippon Airways
pros :- direct flight both ways , similar to british airways , star alliance member
cons :- none

Cathay Pacific
pros :- direct flight both ways , food and service brilliant.
cons :- none

Gulf Air
pros :- short stopover 90 mins Bahrain/Abu Dhabi good duty free
cons :- bit cramped for space , but can sometimes get a row , depending on what day u travel , midweek being best.
