C & N Hotel

Read that the C & N hotel is an ok place to stay and since this will be my first trip to Phuket could someone please tell me how best to go about booking a room at the C & N ...through a website or call the hotel direct?

I have tried the usual internet sites but don't get the good rates that the BM's have quoted in threads on the message board.

Most of us are regulars at the hotel and that's why the better than average rates ( although not that good lately !) I always just e-mail them for a booking and pick up time at the airport. Never had any problems with either. One way would be to book for a couple of nights and then do a deal face to face. Depends on how good you are at haggling !

Yes pick-up is free, I got a room there in July (Low-season,Walk-in) for 600bt, But I have also booked a room by emailing them for april and was giving a rate of 800bt, You could possible get it cheaper if you just walk-in for say about 750bt or maybe 700bt if your lucky, But then again there might not be any rooms left depending on when your going to be there.

Anyway I would rather just pay the extra 1 or 2euro rather than going through all the hassle.

PS: Dont have a clue about whether that includes breakfest as Im never home that early

Yeah that's what I would have replied. Allybabba 22 said it all. Don't forget the pickup is free but you pay for the return when you leave.

i have to agree with jaws,c and n hotel are being a bit pricey lately and not willing to negotiate without a lot of emails.
anyway i have changed my holiday around a bit and am staying at c and n 4-20th april.i got 650 baht a night as long as i pay it all upfront.
it took about 5 emails and a lot of begging and reminding that i have stayed there 6 times in last 22 months.
that said i wasnt impressed with there attitudes in some of there emails,so if anyone can point me to a decent hotel for same or less i would stay there.i am in negotiations with stoney mondays right now but there internet rates are scanalous.i went into there hotel at xmas to check it out,and altho it was ok,it was nowhere near value for money.

Cool

I sent C&N an email asking prices for July 29 till August 7 and they replyed with a price of 600baht per night, i then filled in there forum on there web site and got back an email the next day where i was going to have to pay 700baht per night, i forward my first email to them with the 600 baht price & got it. I was very happy there last year, free pickup is cool but i just wished they had a pool, looked on there site at there resort & spa but i think it too far away from the night life but it looks good. I was thinking about staying at Valhalla but i heard things about the manager there, somethink to do with liking to shag the bar girl once your finished with them
I think i read it here on a post about a year & half ago, if it not true then sorry Mr Valhalla manager dude, but i would do it

C&N Resort

I stayed at the C&N Resort - not the Hotel. I wouldn't bother really. I had a reasonably decent room at the Resort, but quite pricey and R3Apps nicked all the sun loungers!! (There were not very many!). The food was quite disgusting and the reception was about the worst I have ever dealt with and there was no room service to speak of. They also lost my laundry and then denied taking it. After four days I finally managed to speak with the Manageress who redefined Fawlty towers. Good room, but pricey, shit hotel.

I think the C&N hotel is probably a better bet and use the pool at the C&N Resort.

silly prices

I just e-mailed C & N hotel and got quoted a silly price of 1000 baht per night for the end of April. My stay is quite long as well so I dont understand why they wouldnt give a good deal.

So much for hotel prices in Patong being reduced because of recent troubles!

The C&N Hotel and Resort are about 2 miles from each other. Why travel all that way just to use a pool, even if they do comp you? The Ocean is closer.

Mac: My experience at the C&N Resort was just the opposite. I liked my room a lot; it overlooked the pool area. Security idd a grerat job with ID checks 24 hrs. per day. Never a condescending remark, or a glance that indicated superiority to my guest. Breakfast wasn't too bad, but I did get there early and mostly ate fresh fruit, then followed that with juice, a croissant and coffee. I always go to a local to get my laundry done, and the person I went to did a great job. She even ironed a shirt for me for free one night when I was going out. 20 Baht motorcycle ride to Bangla was a snap, too. Free airport pick-up was great, and only a 50 baht premium was a bargain (total 550) for the return. I even made a mistake and booked the incorrect time, and they moved me up 1 hour in the queue. Having a hotel a mile or so from the beach didn't hurt during the Tsunami warning, either. I wish your experience was a better one. MOOK
