[b]help me decide PLEASE
iam just about to book my flight and tell my boss iam going away for a bit
I was going to go back to good old dirty pattaya for a 2 or 3 weeks plus
but after speaking to lots of BMS on this site i am half tempted to leave pattaya alone
for this tour and go phuket instead . what do you lot think ?
what sort of prices are drinks food GIRLS iam skint at the moment and am on a shoe string
but I cant wait much longer i am looking at going July the 19th
staying in Bangkok 1 or 2 nights then moving on what does every 1 think
iam looking at spending about 650 to 800 a night
and don't want to eat out at any posh places just normal street stuff or burgers
few beers in the day and a few in the night

Pattaya is definately cheaper in everything (food / lodging / Girls / Drinks).. However Pats is great for one thing and not so great at a whole lot else..

Why not 1/2 and 1/2 ?? Surely the one extra flight wont break the holiday bank ??

what I will do is go pattaya first for a few days see some mates then make my excuses
and do the off . iam taking you advice on that other thing we spoke about aswell
going back a few times before i make my mind up see what happens at home etc
so i will be about t find a place to stay in phuket for that sort of money ?

for cheap but nice.. Theres lots of deals around Nanai right now.. Get a scooter and sva ebig time..

Blue Sky residence is cheap and clean with a pool..

Palm View nice Location.. My mate just sold the place but its pretty much the same good stop for Brits as it was Brit run and over the Road Gary and Ian run the Offshore for good brekkers and daytime drinking.. Highly reccomended, lots of Brit Ozzie and Kiwi expats..

Andaman Hill hotel.. Have in previous years haggled them down to 500 baht per night for Song Gran time..

Lots of nice spots with pools..

Your asking on a Phuket forum, any responses will be biased.

Why don't you come to Phuket first? If you like it, stay. If you don't like it any more after 2,3,4...14 days pack your bags and go to Pattaya.
If you go to Pattaya first, and come to Phuket after you have the problem of being in Phuket and not liking it (which personally I doubt). The other way round you stay as long as you like and have a place to fall back on.
