Any info on the Phuket Palace?

I a have been talked into looking at the Phuket Palace by Sxygirl thought I would see if you guys know any info. How far to to the bars? tuk tuks go by it? walking distence to the beach girl? friendly? food? Thank you for any and all.

hi ramster , stayed twice at phuket palace during low season two years ago , just on the outskirts of patong on the road to karon , just across the road from c&n resort , regular flow of tuk-tuks , about 5mins to soi bangla on one , beach (southern end of patong) a good 10 minutes walk , quite large size room with balcony , coffee making facilities in room , buffet style breakfast , good pool , can negotiate price with reception , i paid 700baht , guest friendly and no joiner fee...
