This is a question for a friend pretty sure I know the answers but maybe someone has stayed there.
1/ Is the merdian guest friendly any joiner fee or doesnt allow girls to rooms.
2/ how far from patong by taxi.
3/ couple could they have a BG as guest with no joiner fee.

Never stayed there but I know someone who did.

1/ Not really but you can bring girls back 3000bht joiner.

2/ Not to sure probably 15 min.

3/ I doubt it but you can always try.

For a newbie willing to spend a bit more this place looks ideal but if you're talking about taking girls back every 2nd night you soon get pissed off paying exorbitant joiner fees and dirty looks from the other hotel guests and staff.

It's a bit of a club med scenario private beach jet skis etc.

Guess you could always try emailing them and asking but if you are on a package it probably won't carry much weight.

What Meridian? You have 2: Meridien Phuket Beach Resort and Meridien Yacht Club.
First one between Patong and Karon with own Beach. Second one further away on Nai Harn.
Not guest friendly. Joiner fee. Very good hotels but if you are single why do you want to stay there? Nothing in the vicinity, so you need tuktuk all the time. I had my cousin and his wife staying in Yacht club. I think it is 45 minutes from Patong. Good Italian restaurant. Friends who stayed with their son in Karon Meridian liked the hotel but would not go there again. A small bottle of water in their minibar was more than 100 Baht, so they went shopping in Patong.
I like good hotels located close to the beach. You can go to the beach and walk to the bars. No tuktukmaffia needed.

OK Maybe less than 20 minutes but accurate info. 10 minutes or 20 minutes, still dependent on tuctuc maffia. Going to Patong or Karon no problem, going to hotel in the small hours will cost. Or you pay the price they blackmail you, or you walk.
That's why I find even novotel coralia too far.

I stayed there last year and its a lovely hotel but family more of a family hotel and a BG would stick out like a sore thumb. The prices in the restaurants there and the mini bar are a rip off. Small can of Bud 250 Baht pizza from snack side bar 750 bhat.

But your only 5 minutes from pathong 100bht by the hotel bus return or 100 bhat by tuk-tuk. Great hotel and very close to patong.

Why don't they stay at Baan Yin Dee if he's going to spend that sort of money. marc26 stated on another post they were cool with bringing his gf here.

This place sh*ts all over the meridien, pure class and closer.

not my style a bit too upmarket but that what they like.
