pool,a bit of luxury, good pos`n,and no joiner fee?
I know this question has been done to death, and I always see the usual suspects(hotels) given as joiner friendlybut I guess my difference is I`m looking for a quality hotel,I`m not loaded but if it`s a name hotel I can hook up in a package deal,as opposed to paying the airfare and accom separate with no joiner fee.....I`m just talking pool, gardens, facilities, good position close to bangla rd......I tried baan sukothai and they said there is a 1000 baht joiner fee, geez i only paid 800 when i was a first timer at patong merlin hotel.........I`ve heard baan sukothai is guest friendly but they said if "friend" is thai then 1000 baht please.................er during low season is it fair to say I`ll book a double and expect no joiner fee,do the hotels think fcuk it at least i`m getting something for a room that otherwise will be empty or do they not budge on their joiner fee policy?????
my questions always go on forever!!!!!!
if anyone is still reading my post can you give me some advice??
thanks fellas!!!!!!!!

Try the Palm view, my buddies stayed there wghen Simon owned it, its on nanai, opposite the offshore bar, was about 800 per night, quiet pool, small plant surrounds, no brass fee.. handy for a good old brekkie with some local nutters, and the offshore has pool and darts teams, lots going on for u to chill out with.

The Baan Sukhothai is definitely not guest friendly. Try the expat.

Almost any 'brand' hotel that can be package booked will operate a joiner fee system..
I never really likes staying down in town, always prefered places back on Nanai..

kinda tried that ratpack last time but they had security at both entrances and it seems at that time unlike me they didn`t come down in the last shower...
however I did escape a few joiner fees,a couple of the security guys kept seeing me with the same girl so figured we were an "item"
I like the idea of patong villa, sounds good
I`m thinking late June so wouldn`t the hotels be glad to have anyone and would lift the joiner fee......

patong villa or palm view ?
ill get ya the no if you want, no package deal tho, but cheap enough and a good crack.
Ive had no complaints, if you book it , ask for poolside and stress you wont settle for anything else, that way you open your door, put the beer in your fridge ( from the mini mart ) and sit by the pool getting pissed with last nights catch..

I just got back from Patong and I stayed at Patong Villa. Pretty decent hotel with a nice pool area and friendly staff. I paid 2000 bath for a bungalow room but regular rooms where available for 1100 bath. There was no joiner fee but still I made sure to get it in writing from them on one of the emails.
www.patongvilla.com if you want to see more.. Close to Bangla road and the beach.

Hi Ramster Salathai is good they have a good little restaurant as well not to far from bangla the package deals are sometimes quite cheap but they usually don't have the hotels you'll be wanting I think this is due to family's and the like booking packages through agents I've checked all the hotels on the packages from here and none seemed to guest friendly.

Get Real
I sometimes feel like viitors to Patong want a little much. Had a guy ask me if there was a Luxury resort with jacuzzi in the room in Patong near Bangla, for less than 800 THB a night, with no joiner fee....please.
