Hello just got confirmation from C&n that they will be charging 1500bt for a double room over crimbo, That seems a bit steep to me considering I was paying 800bt over songkran, I do like that hotel but dont want to be ripped off either.

So my question is, Does anyone know if these are the going rates for the christmas period? Thanks again for any help given

Yeah that would be right. One of the reasons I think twice about going at that time of the year. Well for a couple of seconds anyway !

Thats cool then, Ill just confirm my booking so, I just thought I would ask beforehand, Wouldnt want anyone coming along after I have booked a telling me they got it way cheaper.

Check out Jintana hotel, this high season they had very competive prices and thiose I knew stayed there told me it was good value for the money. 750 baht/night in high season with swimming pool, 650 baht/night if you booked for one month.

The hotel can be booked through this website.

It is a very good value hotel

However,the rates have changed. Even before low season started the walk in price was 1100 per night just before Songkran,whereas the internet rate was still 750baht a night.
The new rates are from now until 31/10/05... 650baht per night (weekly rate)
1/11/05 to 19/12/15 ...............................1100 baht per night (weekly rate)
20/12/05 to 10/01/06..............................1300 baht per night (weekly rate)
11/01/06 to 15/14/06..............................1100 baht per night (weekly rate)
These are all website rates.
BTW The Jintana IS guest friendly with ID card,as I asked

Hoping to be there in Sept. so I might give Xxmas a miss but if Sept. does'nt happen then who knows ! Either way I will never drink Tequilla again !

Seems that the only time I drink the stuff is when I'm in LOS goes down quite well I know Nicke loves it to that's why I always shout him a few shots.

Yeah it's funny how we do things in LOS we would'nt do back home. I normally drink Bacaredi Breezers over there but there's no way you would catch me drinking them back here !

Hi dawsey ! just need some help making my miond up!! Did you actually stay at the jintana ? or just call in to see ? i have priced jintana and it works out slightly cheaper than the C&n ...but the main thing that is swaying me is the swimming pool ! should i take the plunge and book it ?

your advice would be gratefuly appreciated

Hi Barcardi,

Go for it!
Yes I stayed there and it was really good value.
Also its a lovely clean pool (pic below),and only 5/10mins max to walk to Bangla.
Airport pickup was reliable also.
Just remember to make sure you ask for king size bed and not a double room or you will end up with 2 single beds
