HI ALL,THIS IS MY FIRST POST, HAS ANYBODY FROM WEST AUSTRALIA FOUND ANY CHEAP FLIGHTS TO PHUKET , AS MOST OF THE FLIGHTS COME WITH A PACKAGE WITH A HOTEL THAT IS NOT BG FRIENDLY , ANY ADVICE OR TIPS APPRECIATED.


Hi Guys, Thanks For All The Info , I Will Do Some More Reserch, I Am Looking At Staying In Phuket For At Least 14 Days As I Have Not Been To That Part Of Thialand Before , Allthough I Will Be Travelling Alone This Time For My First Time, [ Lost My Travelling Buddy Recently]. This Site Has Been A Gold Mine Of Info , Specialy For People Travelling Alone, Thanks.

Try Malaysian Airlines,they fly out of Perth,with a stopover in KL then fly on direct to Phuket. For a flight departing and arriving back to Oz during Aug they are quoting $Aus 1077.

Hey Marlin, I think it really depends on how long you are staying in LOS. The longer you stay the more economic finding your own accomodation becomes IMO. I have found that even with Joiner fees some packages are cheaper for short stays {10/14 nights}. The airlines mentioned do have cheap prices but watch out for length of stopovers and deals requiring two people to travel.
Whatever price you end up getting once you are there it will feel like it was worth it!!!!

check malasian airlines have some cheap flights promo at the moment till 30 nov i think not sure from perth but via KL

Malaysian is the cheapest at the mo via KL but there should be more deals out in June, July through Thai, Emirates etc. according to my agent who seems to be in the know.

Recently flew Valuairex Perth, call direct on their Pereth number. Current special $349AUd + tax making about $469 then tigerairways Sin-Hkt $69SIN 1 way and $48 sin the other way. Valuair fare is return, great value. Good flight no problems. Valuair arrive about 0540hrs and Tiger deoart about 0730 hrs in HKT for brunch.
