Info needed on the Sunhill Hotel
Hi Guys,
Its a couple of years since I was last in Phuket and have just booked my flights for a golfing trip in October.
Any feedback on the Sunhill Hotel would be most welcome - the info on the website, pics and emails from them all seem OK but if anyone has any first hand experience I would be very grateful.
www.sunhill-phuket.com/
I am taking advantage of their golf organising option to reduce the hassle for me so I can enjoy the main reason for going so any info on this as well would be great.
Cheers

hi ady
i must admit id never heard of this hotel ,but it looks really good ,its a bit far from the action though, so a tuk yuk will add to costs .
they dont say whether they are guest friendly, but some rooms on the west wing have there own private entrance though,
if you intend to bring back a "take-away"it might be a good idea to e-mail them and ask if they charge extra ,if they say no, take a copy of their reply with you just in case they deny it cheers

Been there
I stayed in the Siute a couple of years ago. It is a nice hotel but a long way out. Tuk Tuk costs around 100 - 200 a tip to Bangla.
Pool area is pretty small and Nanai Rd is very very very very noisy but rooms are pretty nice.

First question I asked and yes they are "no extra charge for an overnight guest" - but I will have a copy.

I have stayed at the Family Inn before which is about the same distance and I used to walk in at night and ride back. Tuk tuks shouldn't be a problem as there are 3 of us anyway but we will have to see how we go. Thanks for the info.

Location no problem either hire a motorbike or if you go drinking at night just get a motorbike taxi much cheaper than a tuk tuk.
Give us some feedback after you have stayed here Ady it's on everyones guest freindly list so I'm sure there won't be any problems with the girls.

Theres a motorbike taxi rank right outside the place (on Nanai) and a massage hut on the corner...
I live just near to the place myself.. Club Bamboo next door to it looks like it has some nice facilities also but dont know about guests or prices..
I think this summer there are going to be some real 'deals' to be made for walk in rates as the low season bites.. already I hear of rental accomodations (long term) getting really good prices.. Buddy looked at a luxury house advertised at 60, on the phone it went to 50, and while they looked at it it went to 35...

Sun Hill....Club Bamboo
I have stayed at the Sun Hill, and it is very nice. You are right, a quick motorbike taxi is no problem, and for the quality and price, I actually prefer that little group of Hotels. I prefer Club Bamboo myself....the Sun Hill Pool sucks, and it is next to the road. Both are guest friendly, you can hardly raise an eyebrow.
