Question r24.org Good or Bad?

Has anyone had any problems using r24.org to book a hotel room? I have not, but the rate I was quoted was significantly cheaper than anything else I could find, and because they ask for the entire amount ahead of time as an uncancellable deposit, I am a little nervous.

Anybody with positive or negative experiences, please let me know!

Thanks,

TokyoGuy.

I use them as links from my Patong map at http://www.siammaps.com/patong/patong.html , and have not heard any negativ yet!
Personally I have used them once, and then there was no problem!

On my last trip in February 05, I used them to book hotels in Bangkok, Pattaya and Samui had no problem at all. I paid for everything upfront too.

I too used them this year without any problem. I only paid 10% deposit though and the rest at the end of my stay.

I would think 10% is their commission

R24 is one of the biggest booking operators in Thailand, I use same system for Phuket-Info.com and I have had thousands of bookings on this site.

Maybe it is, but I only ended up paying 750baht per room per night when I paid the balance.
That was the price quoted on the website when I booked

Smile Thankyou!

Well, I have just booked 6 nights at the Chedi and paid 100% in advance. Thanks to everyone who helped out with their opinion!

Lets hope everything goes OK... Rate is 2500/night including breakfast for a villa room. Still seems cheap...

I compare them with www.latestays.com. Normally I think, latestays has better prices and some goodies like free airport transfer etc. You pay in advance, get the confirmation within 2-4 hours (during thai business hours). Never had problems, booked about 20 rooms yet with them.
