First I was promised the usual house I got in Kata.

Now that I booked everything, the owner is not sure he can keep it for me. If there are guys willing to stay longer then 2 months, he has to give them priority and ask me to come back at him in October, one month before i leave!

This is very ennoying. For myself, no problem I can always find something.

But the family arrives 17 th december and I cannot go with them everywhere! The house was not so far from the beach, had 2 bedrooms, tv and dvd and no neighbours who come home drunk with another bg every night! Don't mind this being alone, but with small children...

So I am a bit desperate here...No way to go in a hotel, I pay 15.000 bath/month for the house. Would not like to be in Patong with them neither, Kata is great for them.

So I don't know what to do, cancel, or look forsomething else, or wait to maybe get lucky and get that house after all!

Why don't you pay the rent for the extra weeks? Then do some sort of deal with the landlord if there are other people who want the house in the time you have booked it, but after you leave.

Thats the problem with renting houses/nice apartments, a lot of people rent for high season and short time stays is not so easy to find if you want a nice house at a valuable price. Often you can not book these places in advance either.

Thats why Geir paid rent Aug-Nov last year for his apartment without staying there, otherwise it would have been gone when he come back.

That is what I offered him. Now I don't think he is smart. He got 2 months for sure. If I find something else, he will maybe have somebody for two weeks and maybe one month just nothing! Not everybody can come to Phuket for 6 months and if they do they just must want what he got and...find him!

Well he agreed for the 2 months! So that is one problem solved!

I am not too far from the beach, two bedrooms and most of all close to a place where I can drink beer from the tap!

Tin Tin aren't you "friendly" with a local Real Estate agent ?....maybe they can help you.
