Eva air........ Cos were worth it too!!
Hi all,
I kind of remember there being a few members of the airline industry who are members of this 'little' site! I just want a few opionions on Eva air's premium laural class, as i have just booked a flight without really thinking about the consequences!
I initally asked for the evergreen class, but was told it was sold out. But they gave me business class at only a couple of hundred more. So on a spare of the moment descesion i booked it. Now after checking the eva air website, im not too sure if i should of! As it doesnt really say what business is and what premium laurel is! So if anyone has any reports on this 'class' and the differences. Any comments would be nice as i have 14 days to cancel!
I used Eva last year in economy, and while i found the plane ok, but the ground staff were very rude. I wonder if this will change now im 'posh'?

Its what it says, its a class above evergreen which is a pretty good class, the food is much better and its almost a horizonal bed position. Seperate checkin facilities with fairly good ground staff, bigger luggage allowance and unlimited wines and spirits. Quite a good deal if only 200 more than evergreen, its normally twice the cost.

Fcuk me!!!
Looks like ive landed on my feet
I just managed to find the correct page on the eva air website! It seems that the LHR-BKK route has their new plane, so business is now called laural class. Well thats what i think is what happend anyway.
"The Premium Laurel Class cabin aboard our new A330-200 fleet is an elegant environment offering exclusive advantages. Seating is just six abreast (in a two-two-two arrangement) and each seat is a generous 61 inches from the one in front. Compared to existing Airbus A330-200s operating mid-range and short-range flights, EVA Air's Premium Laurel Class cabin seating is by far the most spacious. Here, you have unprecedented control over your seat, and can lie flat by reclining your seatback to a horizontal position.
Both headrest and bottom cushion are fully adjustable. The pneumatic lumbar support and leg rest are both electrically operated and the retractable armrest allows you to stretch, leave and return to your seat without disturbing your neighbor. You’ll also find other pleasant surprises -- among them a convenient coat hook and a bottle holder."
Well thats what the website says anyways!
So if anyones on the same flight in November, i'll be the one doing the royal wave at you peasents!

That's an advertising pic
How much did it cost you for this (laurel) flight? I'm tempted to give them a try in November myself

www.airlinequality.com does state 47/61" for EVA Air's Premium Laurel seat pitch, but I think you will find that LHR >> BKK uses seats similar to those of Thai Air but with less distance between seats. You won't get a seat like that in the picture on a previous post (61"), as those are only on the new planes and not on the old 747's.

Heyyy....... as long as the air-hostess gives me bj. Who cares!
Though i will find his singing annoying after a while!
Oh, got the ticket's through the other day and it says Prem bus on it! So i dont know what class im in! Be it business or laural! But it says the tickets cost over £5000. So i've spent the last couple of days flashing them at people!
