Phuket Thailand - cheap flights in august from germany & kite surfin?!

hi gents!

as it seems im unable to find a decent priced flight (around € 550,- to € 650,-, both ways) from munich to phuket in early august im passing the balls to you guys here. anybody knows of some good deals in that time period? it seems to be alot easier to get cheap flights from end of april till mid july.

im also looking for some information on the kite-boarding situation on phuket island?! are there any spots to kite-board in phuket?! like said. i want to go there early august. stay there for 1 month to kite board, dive and have some decent sanuk.

btw. the best board on phuket on the web! keep the good work up!

anybody knows a guy called "matts" from a swedish run bar in s.eric?!

any info (specially on kite-boarding) would be highly appreciated, l8ter

hi!

thanks stevem for the link on kiteboarding. allready hooked up in one of the spots there. seems not to bad to go for a kite adventure there. on my last tour of duty 3 weeks ago (unluckily no kite with me ;()i been stayin on karon. allways good wind there. a nice sandbreak so you dont have to watch out for the reef when you smash in from above. and virtually no people on the beach so i might consider trying out some kite action on karon too.

diz: i got a thai airways flight on my last visit (may 10th - 25th) from muc to hkt over bangkok for 520,- (incl. taxes). still i cant find seats that go fairly cheap till mid of july but august seems double price on every carrier. i might think about the option of going to singapore instead and then a cheap one to hkt.

lufthansa also fly MUC-BKK direct was booked on that flight last time i was flying home. and now it's only 3 days to go before the return flight to LOS

Last week I asked for prices at the Thai Air Reisebüro.
They give me a price for about € 800,00 for flights after the 24th June.
Perhaps they have for August special offers.

there you get flights Duesseldorf to bkk around 600 Euro.

(don`t know if you can get rail and fly to duesseldorf...)

sometimes www.condor.de has cheap flights to LOS. (unfortunately not now).

the ltu site comes in quite handy. found some good dates to go and get back to munich even. i hope to down some colds with some bm's when im there on the second week of august. will be going to chupong first for some decent kite-surf!
