Cheapest international flight..

I have to swap my passports and Ranong would not let me do that last hop up there.. So an international flight will be needed.. Also I am thouroughly pissed off with going back and forth to Ranong and want to find a cost effective way to make it a bit easier and still not spend to much (I am currently doing monthly runs but this should change)..

I have no burning desire to have a night or two out in Sing / KL / Etc and as its a monthly plan am just looking at the most budgetable bounce flight, preferably out in am back in afternoon (used to be a tiger air for 1250 each way)..

So far hunting about I can get

Air Asia for really cheap.. 880 baht each way (KL) but need an overnight there and have no taxes included in fees.

Silk will bounce me in and out of Sillypore in a day with great fly times (out 2:55 PM and home by 7:30) but costs are 5300 + nearly 1800 taxes.. A hair over 7k total but superb ease of travel and no AM wake up.

Tiger is a bit cheaper and will do a HKT -> SIN - > HKT for around 200 Sing $ including taxes all in one day.. Flight times are 9AM outbound and 7:30PM return in Phuket so its a full day but thats sub 5k and airport with book cant be as bad as that damn Ranong run.

So anyone have other airlines or tips I can hunt down before I book.. Budget carriers in the region or airports I have not thought of (no Langkawi / Phuket flight) Currently Silk and Tiger have my vote cause then its just a day trip but figured someone else may have a better idea.. Tempted to take Dragon air up on one of its 2 night flight and hotel packages as a couple of days in HK could be fun anyway but mainly I am trying to suss out a regular run.

Not I am aware of, the route was cancelled maybe 2 years back. I used to fly to Penang to apply for my visa.

Currently I believe the only international flights from Phuket, excluding European destinations, are to

Singapore
KL
Taipei
Hong Kong

So the Tiger Singapore option is your best bet.
