phi phi island, where to stay?

Where should I stay in Phi Phi Island? Is there a particular place I should look into? Also how would I get from Phuket To Phi Phi??

What he probably mean is that Ton Sai village is gone, kaputt, washed away by the tsunami...
But that you can book at the resorts in the north of Phi Phi Don....

Phi Phi was hit hard most hotels not operating or gone but still some (april 2005 last visit)

THere are numerous hotels still operating.

Here's a webpage that will tell you what is open and what is closed right at this time: http://directrooms-thailand.com/krabi-hotels/phi-phi-price1.htm. The Holiday Inn is not on that list and it is my understanding that it is open too.

Holiday Inn Resort

The Holiday Inn on Phi Phi was untouched by the tusami and is operating normally, with limited guests. Recent visit and impressed by its location on a quality beach. Unsure what the rest of the island is like and the "action" if any in the locality of Holiday Inn
