Close to Patong I would say Le Meridien. But it still a hotel. Otherwise go look for a boutique hotel like Baan Yin Dee, those are smaller.

Ta, hmm it makes it hard since theres technically 3 adults (me + parents) and not many places do 3 adults / room, so its hard to find out weather its cheaper getting me a shit room and them a good one, or finding a place where they can put 3 adults per room
I looked at the Le Merdian, but they only do 2 adults per room, otherwise you have to get a ****ing presidential sweet which is like 1 thousand US a night !
Im lost, not sure wtf to do, need a nice place where we can have 3 of us, my parents like places to be really clean and well designed, with good staff etc, like the Le Meridian

Seem pretty simple and straight forward to me, if you intend to partake in he nightlife, then leave your parents at a nice place like Baan SukhoThai right in the middle of Patong, and then you can stay at the C&N just around the corner.
Gives your folks the comfort they are after and you the opportunity to enjoy yourself, and you can meet up for breakie.

Dude i stayed at the Baan 3 years ago and it was great
and in march i staryed at C&N
both are ok
but i would prefer to stay at CN
because I dont need anything too fancy
guest friendly
fridge
aircon
own bathroom
i payed 800bht a night and that was bookin over the net with them direct - not a walk in rate.... info@cnhotelpatong.com is their reservation desk email
hope this helps

You'll be as safe as going out for a drink in your home town. Just head to Mai Tai on your first night and chat with some of the other BM's there. You'll more than likely also find some locals drinking there, who can give you a good run down of what to do and what to be aware of.
Dont worry so much about it, otherwise you'll talk yourself out of coming.

Hmmm bedtimes will be interesting for your parents if you intend,at 18, to still be sleeping in the same room as them
Get yourself a room in a different hotel such as C&N and enjoy.
Remember your mum and dad will like to make the beast with two backs most nights and won't appreciate you observing

If I was in your shoes, I'd stick your parents in Karon or Kata (better still Koh Samui) and then party like 'ell in Patong alone. Make sure they give you plenty of pocket money.

my mom had me when she was 41, so by the time i was 16-18, she was getting pretty old, and her heal;th wasnt good. my brothers and sisters were all older so didnt want to go on vacation anymore. it was great, my mom would let me bring a friend and shed just find a bench andread a book, or read her books in the hotel room and i was free to room. too bad it wasnt in LOS then.

Hotel Help
There is a NEW hotel in Patong that will be opening in October 2005 or maybe sooner; I saw them finalizing the details when I was there in June 2005- it is located down kinda close to BBQ Hut and looks very decent and is away from Bangla Road; if I were you, I would stay at the Expat, at have your privacy- very close to Bangla but they have a very nice swimming pool that has vegetation and palm trees around it and many Thai ladies go swim there for free to meet farang and the hotel does not mind because it encourages more farang business- alexandermic

If you stay in Phuket with your parents, why don't you rent a house? It would be surely cheaper than a hotel, with at least as many facilities.
I rent a house in nai harn garden resort last feb. It was really great, of course, I needed to rent a car, but it was close to Nai harn beach, rawai beach, Phrom Thep, Phuket Town... and finally not so far from Patong (with a car). Great house with really friendly people, swimming pool, restaurant, bar.... For better rates than on their website, contact Wellta on www.houseinphuket.com . Be sure she will do her best for you.
Just an idea, but think about it
