Walking distance from Blue Sky Residence

Hi Vets! Need help!

Watt is the real walking distance from Blue Sky Residence (201 Nanai Road , Soi Thum Dee) to the action scene?

It’s dangerous to do the walk during the night?

Your help will be much appreciated! Many thanks in advance.

Dont walk it... Its a long way from the middle of Nanai into town.. And at night way too far..

Great budget place and I reccomend it but you need a bike or to use MB taxi's..

There is a short-cut down Nanai 2 and past the sewage works but I wouldnt recommend it.Its safe, but the route takes you past the fly tipping,a stinking pond ,and burning rubbish. The road comes out on Rat-u Thit Rd almost opposite Holiday Inn.
A tuk tuk will be looking for 100/150 baht per trip one way so thats a few baht to add to the bill

That route is now a closed swamp...

I tried to do it partially drunk one day (without knowing it had changed) and my mates turned back when they saw it.. I tried to ride through the resulting lake and over the garbage pile !!! In the end I had to admit defeat or get really stuck..

Maybe the motorbike taxi would be the cheapest solution : 20 bath/person in Patong, but I don't know if you will find one easily on Nanai

That must make Peter Pan Hotel a delightful place to stay seeing it overlooks the swamp

Must admit to last using this shortcut last year

Yeah Peter Pan must be a little ripe on a hot day now.. Tho the guesthouses down the end of that Rd (thinking especially the one back before Peter Pan) are great value joints for the long stayer.. Cheap rooms, Nanai 2 is a much more expat type spot.. Lots of girls live down around the Nanai / Nanai2 region.. Often see groups sat outside socalising with a couple of cold ones on the table..

I really like it back on Nanai and probably spend only 25 - 30% of my drinking time down bangla now.. Drink with buddies in more regular bars.. go trawling the action occasionally..

Blue Sky

Stayed at Blue Sky last month. Not within walking distance to Bangla. Last 50 meters is straight up hill. If you are handy with a motor bike I rented from them for 150 baht/day. With a motorbike this is an excellent spot, good price and clean.

Swiss Palm beach is operating normally, as said on Phuket Gazette - hotel status

Not so cheap ...
