I am starting to have worries about this place evrytime i mention it and the fact i am booked to stay there i get laughs and negative comments can some of you nice gentlemen please expand on the problems with the place so i can make the decision if neccesary to move or not just exactly why would each of you not choose to stay there

dont worry mate,,its a top choice for someone who wants to enjoy themself,yan the owner is a top bloke,,but never enter a drinking contest with him,,youll finish 2nd!!
worked for yan previously in my 5 years in thailand,,just ask the other bms about the ledgendary wet t shirt contests in the complex//

Great party place... Great owner management (if you like funny happy enjoyable drunks I guess).. Will assist and sort anything for you..

Rooms a little on the rough side these days.. The glory days of its past with 200 half nakid people running about are no more (so sadly !!)

Put it this way the room welcome pack contains condoms, lube, etc.. Viagra over the bar..

And sleep before dawn is considered 'wierd' there

!!!

I've known Valhalla since it first opened, in the days of the go-go bar and wet t-shirt parties. Very fun place and most people I know who have stayed there say it's very good.

Personally, I wouldn't stay there as I like the option of having the odd quiet night. If I want a boozy night, I go out and have one. The idea of constant drinking just outside my room is not something I fancy. Maybe I'm just getting a bit older.

I have nothing at all against Valhalla and usually pop in most trips for a few drinks with Yan, afternoons can be fun, especially if some of the BGs are in the pool. It is all a matter of what you are after.

You probably know Offshore Ian, Noddy, Captain Chris, that bunch correct ??

Do we know each other ??

I have a lousy memory for names, but am quite good with faces. Will no doubt find out who's who on my next trip.

As for the "usual suspects", that was what my mates used to call some of the girls from Valhalla go-go. I went with about half of them and when the go-go shut , used to drink with them quite often. So, when I turned up next day my mates would just say "usual suspects" and avoid causing problems for me with new BG.

Thanks for posting the link, it brought back some excellent memories. I was at the pool party/wet t-shirt and had a great time until the MIB crashed it.

WAS not to impressed by the top set of pics it looked like a masonic lodge meeting 5555555 and are my eyes decieving me or was that IJ sitting at the bar in picture 34 5555555

Im booked to stay there in november,but im open to any other suggestions,
They are looking for 2000 baht a night for a deluxe room with jacuzzi.
As i say if anyone has better offers or options let me know.

Personally I dont rate the jacussi room as worth it.. You can get a suite (mini apartment) at the yorkshire for 2500..

Great party place but not 'high end'.. lots of fun tho.

i stayed there last xmas,
rooms are shabby to say the least,but your not staying there for savoy standard rooms.
one draw back was the loud music waking me up at 14.00 in the afternoon ,but i guess you have to wake up some time.
bar was well staocked (which came in use the night of the 26/12/04) food is ok.
Jan the owner can drink till the cows come home ,so no point in attempting to keep up with him.
very girl friendly
worth a visit but better else where.
