Just got what I think is a v good deal from them. Leaving early nov from manchester, returning late Jan for £490 inc tax. Only downside is an overnight stay in Kuala Lumpor on the way back for which I`ll need some digs. Any recommendations? Sights 2 c near the airport?

Out of curiosity, what time does your flight arrive in KL? Are you using Malaysian for the hop from KL to Phuket?

I remember when I looked for a flight, I dismissed Malaysian because of the overnight stay. Since then I've realised that there are a couple of carriers (e.g. Air Asia) that I could have used, maybe same day hop to Phuket? This is something I may consider in the future.

Singapore Airlines are doing a similar deal - just booked with them for November for £482 and have an overnight in Sillypore on the way back.

arrives sat 9.30pm, klia, depats for manc sun 10.45 am hence overnight. both flights malay.

Thanks for that - means the option of a different carrier from KL to Phuket is a non starter.

not necessarily - u could fly from phuket to kl with a diff carrier possibly - but would bump up costs somewhat I suspect

NOT A LOT TO DO AROUND KLIA in country a bit
DO HAVE FAST TRAIN TO CITY DONT KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES.
There is a short term hotel in airport which is great value
plenty of shops and pub in terminal
I have travelled malayasian airlines from sydney a few times and find them very good.

yhe only thing near the airport is the f1 circuit & palm oil plantations.

Get the airport express train for a few quid - gets you into town in less than an hour.

i sometimes stay at the airport hotel look tv and have a shower
then go to a bar for a few hours inside the airport, and look at people
i believe the hotel costs about 28 euro for 6 hours

HI STAYED IN THE CAPITOL HOTEL........ .IT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ACTION.........IT WAS FINE............I FLEWMALAYSIANON MY LAST TOUR ..........MALAYSIAN AIRLINES ARE STARTING TO COST CUT NOW AS WELL..BEFORE THEY WERE VERY GOOD........NOW THEY ARE GOOD....DONT GIVE OUT MUCH BEER AND WINE AS THEY USED TO AND THE FOOD ISNT AS GOOD AS IT USED TO BE..BUT ITS STILL BETTER THAN MOST

KLIA Express from the airport to KL Sentral in 28 minutes RM 35. 10 minute taxi ride to Thai Club about RM 15. Check in at Havana Inn connected to Thai Club RM 108. Shower and in the Beach Club or Hard Rock in one hour. Allow 45 minutes from touchdown to the train. Yuo could be laid within 2 hours of landing.
