Hi

Me and a mate recently stayed at Karon Beach resort which was a great place to stay and very tranquil during the day but 500 B per bg every night plus 600b return tuktuk added to the cost.

We plan to return in May and wondered about a private villa with pool where we could do what we wanted anytime of the day and also where the girls could use the pool if we wanted some daytime fun. We want a nice place if possible near the sea or with seaview. We know its prabably going to cost a bit but we hope to offset some tuktuk fares and the nightly joiner fees against it which should make it worth it.

Anyone any ideas ? Is this realistic? Any websites contacts or indeed any input appreciated.

I was paying baht 500 to Patong, until my girl told me I was getting ripped off. After that was 150 everytime. Don't pay more than 200 from Karon.

officially it is 200 and 250 by night with full tuk tuk

Hi Steve,

I rented the small family house on this link last Feb http://www.houseinphuket.com/houses/STR/20041122-p0006/ and paid 30.000 bath for 23 days, there is a shared swimming pool just beside and no one most of the time.

I had also rented a car as Nai Harn is a bit isolated and paid 500 bath/day (cheaper and easier than tuk-tuk if you drive a lot).
The place is great and quiet. 2 bedrooms (but no doors between both

), big living-room with sat tv, big kitchen, nice terrace....
