advise on accommodation for December

I need advise on accommodation. I was last in Patong 10 years ago with my family. Now I will be alone and time for fun (no family now). I have looked through this forum and the following seem to be popular places. C&N, Orchid, Yorkshire Inn and the Sandy Spring. Any favorites? Or alternatives? I would like to plug my laptop into internet access but obviously clean, and guest friendly, but not expensive. Oh and don’t want to walk far from the action after one or two refreshments.
I have figured out most of the abbreviations but I can’t get LOS, I know I am going to feel like an idiot.
Hope to have three weeks starting middle of December (can’t yet finalize my dates) yup I am hoping everywhere is not already booked!
Great place this! Perfect forum. Starting to wet my pants.

Welcome cockonorth, I take it you are from the REAL Perth, not the one Down Under.

Thanks Faultytowers, sorry, from the one down under. Decided I didn’t like the rain and cold.
Yup I feel like an idiot.

do a search for Yorkshire Inn and then look for thread, hotels guest friendly by River, and lots of info there.

Sandy Sping is in Pattaya.

Make your reservation soon if you are going at Christmas

Hi and welcome to the board. Looks like you are there for the peak season (Christmas and New Year) so prices will be at their highest. Do you have a nightly figure in mind? I just booked for one of the cheaper places (Expat) and that is 1500 baht a night.

Some places are full already, so don't leave things too much longer before booking.

Thanks seafox and gez. The Yorkshire looks ideal. 1,700 (large double bed) in high season, I can cope with that. I have just sent off a request for availability.
