Quality hotel in Bangkok
Sorry folks another question about hotels.
I am arriving in BKK on the 8th and would like a very good hotel in Bangkok for 3 nights, i would like a suite with a jacuzzi if possible as i will be there on my bath day on the 9th(every month wether i need or not). Price is not too important as i have been in Africa with oilfield trash for the last 4 weeks so i think i deserve a bit of luxury. Has anybody stayed in this type of hotel in BKK? or heard of any good places, does not need to be girl friendly as my tilak will be with me. cheers folks see you soon Simon

I believe that the superior room at the Chateau de Bangkok has a jacuzzi. Also the Intercontinental Hotel's Ambassador Suite as well.

|
President Solitare on Sukhumvit soi 11 has jacuzzi in the platinum suites.
I have stayed there last year and it is good hotel only 100 meters from the Qbar http://www.solitaire-bkk.bangkok.com/

Thanks guys, i had the president on my list but through latestays it did not seem that i could book the platinum suite, but i can through your link, cheers.
Would book now but dont have my credit card at work, could someone please send me their details and i will buy them a beer  Now i am really looking forward to my trip.

one thing you can do is try priceline. pick 5 star and ive gotten the westin and jw marriott. both are really nice. the westin has a really big battub, but i dont knopw if its jacuzzi. i love this hotel. if you need to know how to do priceline, let me know.
also the amari boulevard hotel on soi 5 is really nice. pool not that great. the jw marriott has a real good sauna/steamroom downstairs

those are all by nana. also sheraton grande sukhumvit is nice.
if you want rerally nice check out the peninsula or the oriental. very high end. also on the other side of bkk, near the river. but since you are just going to be kissing and hugging, and telling ao how much you love her, you dont need to be near the action!

This is second hand information,but the Plant Manager where I work(He's the same age as me and running the Plant.Where did I go wrong?
 ) spent two nights in BKK a few years ago.(so I got him beat there  )He stayed at the Shangrila by the river and told me it was the nicest hotel he'd ever visited.He said it appears in lists of the world's greatest hotels(his words)Might be worth a peek.

anyone ever stay at the Meritus State Tower? i think it's the second tallers building in bkk after the baiyoke sky. what's your impression of the place?

Stayed at the Pathawam Princess on my last trip to bangkok.
IMO good quality hotel and built reght next door to the MBK shopping centre, so your tilak will like it  and not too far from Patpong....

I've stayed at many hotel in Bangkok and have always found the Grand President to be the best. They have several different quality rooms and they will give you a deal for long term stays. I also make the Grand President my "home base" if I am just visiting Thailand for a couple weeks or months at a time. The place is centrally located on Sukhumvit Soi 11 and everything is close my now with the Skytrain just right down the street. Taking girls back is no problem, the rooms are great and the price is right. Give it a try.
