Hi

A friend and I are booked in here over New Year and we want to book girls in over the whole time rather than nightly. We know the girls well from previous visits but we have never stayed at this hotel. We have paid for double rooms and for the compulsory dinner etc. Whats the score here do the girls need passports or just ID to check in?

If the girls are dressed in smart clothes ie not bar girl mini skirts etc should this be a problem? Will we have to pay a joiner fee as well? We are hoping by having double rooms and checking them in we might avoid the joiner fee and them having to leave early in the morning!

Anyone had any experiences of this hotels attitude with this sort of thing?

This property is not GF. Doesnt matter how they are dressed. You may well find that even if they are checked in with you, you may be stilled asked for ID when you go back at night.

Booking a name in helps if you are already with your missus.. Harder if your checking in alone and your partner is to 'join you later' though I have taken the p1ss in some hotels.. checked in as a double (when they had a joiner charge) and said my GF would join me later, when they ask for your GF's name just say 'lek' or 'poo' or any usual BS BG nickname.. They tend to hate it but if you just say you cant remember or pronounce her real thai name (act dumb farang) theres not much they can do..

Of course it fails on night 2 when lek is lek2 instead of lek1 but it gives you some wiggle room

I have no problem with taking ID names or even ID.. Thats a way to protect the guests from rip offs and a lot of good BKK hotels that are still GF do that, which doesnt bother me.. A small joiner fee is not the biggest of issues but I hate a place that gives them a hard time or cops an attitude to them..

i was talking to Ao and asked her about banthai. she said it was 5000baht joiner fee, and she said if the girl is in your room past 12pm(very likely) the next day, you get tacked another 500baht

sorry, 500baht. which if i liiked the hotel, i could care less about.
like you said, how the girl and me are treated is more important

I stayed there last week. 1000 a night for visitors, they have to be out by 7.00 am, and the hotel is relatively shabby anyway. Unfortunately I had pre paid. What I did was to rent a room for 500 at the Orchid Guesthouse. The room was not any worse, I saved myself 500 a night and the staff were very girl friendly.

First time I have ever heard the Ban Sukhothai called "shabby". My mum has stayed there numerous times and looks OK to me.

Thanks for that. Im getting my girls real name and ID so I can email it to the hotel in advance. Have booked and payed for a double anyhow. Once she is checked in will the joiner fee have to be paid as well? Will she have to be out of the hotel by seven am or will she be a regular guest? What happened with your VIP guests come the morning? Cheers for your help!

No any couple checked in is a couple.. They cant just make the assumption that every Thai girl is a BG...

Mind you that was my argument with burasai
