Pattaya to Phuket
I believe there is a direct flight three times a week - Monday,Wednesday, and Friday. The airline is Bangkok Air and goes via Samui. You land at Utapo Airport just a 20 minute taxi to Pattaya.

Not trying to be smart but if it goes via Samui, Its not direct
PS: www.bangkokair.com do direct flights both ways Phuket/Pattaya (Not via Samui).

the service is run by bangkok air and the current return price is 4,950 bhat return i can 100% guarantee that this info is correct as i am travelling on this route on october november 7 and have had my flight booked for over 7 months. go to bangkok air website for all official info

Looks from the site like there is some days when they bounce and some days with a bounce and direct flight Phuket to Pattaya..
I didnt see any samui bounces on the return..
Also listing a websaver ticket of 1750 + about 300 fuel surcharge (cant they just give me a price).. So its a little cheaper than the 100% info posted

Yes but i booked my flight with trailfinders in the uk when i booked my long haul and my ticket is a bangkok-phuket-utapao so trailfinders have got a cut,
only put that about 100% correct because i knew some smart ass would come on and try to say i was wrong 555555555555 and i was right ! 5555555 as far as i know all the flights are direct there is also an extra flight 3 days a week which does the phuket via samui route because when i fly pattaya to samui on november 13 that flight goes on to phuket after landing at samui. so 3 days a week there are 2 flights to pattaya

I just tried a few dates next week as Ratpack is coming back from Vancouver via HK for 4 days.. Its only a maybee but might go and indulge in Sin City fo r a couple of days..
Anyway some days had a bounce out some days had a direct and a bounce.. Didnt spot any days with a direct only outward but only tried a few days..
All of them had a 1750 price immaterial of how they got there..

yeah tyhe 14:40 seemed always direct..
The 9 something AM landed at 11 something and had a samui bounce.. I would assume you dont pay the Samui airport tax (private airport) but no idea if you have to disembark..
Single or return they are 1750 + fuels surcharge and a tiny tax each way.. Doesnt matter anyway I just read your above post to say pattaya phuket pattaya for +-5k..
Anyway only wanted to find out who operated the route and how much.. as its the price of a 1/2 a nights drinking I might well go and get up to some devilment if the boys fly in from Canada..

I had heard that taxis were available..
However I would like the idea of getting some guy stood there with a card that said Rear Admiral LivinLOS or similar !!!
My little brother filled rear admiral in for the 'title' section on his offshore bank account.. They write to Rear Admiral Hanley.. Cracks me up every time I read it..

there are taxis at Utapao airport, but it's a rip off with 800 bath to pattaya, but Bangkokair have a shuttle buss to pattaya, can't remember the price since i never use the service since i live only 15 min from the airport, but the taxi counter is in the corner off the arrivel hall just before you leave the hall, and it's all run on the same mafia style as in phuket.

In the travel industry world, a flight from A to B is "NONSTOP". Anyother flight from A to C via B with the same flight number is "DIRECT", so the flight from Phuket to Utapo via Samui is technically "DIRECT"

Thanks for that - it clears up a little misunderstanding with a couple of people I know. They tell me that they go from Manchester to Phuket on a direct flight, so I was searching and searching trying to find it, then they say it stops off ib BKK. Assuming the flight number is the same from BKK to Phuket, they are correct in referring to it as direct.

So I guess my flight form Dublin via Heathrow is "Direct" to Bkk?
Sorry but they need to check in a dictionary what "Direct" means, Its A to B fullstop! Another thing if that is called a "Direct" flight what exactly do they call the other one that does not have to land at Samui Airport or pick up passengers there and goes "Direct" to Pattaya... Nonstop?
What a load of bullshit.....They just put that there to confuse people and rip them off IMHO...
PS: Sorry if this comes bad, But im not in a very good humor,
Liverpool just lost 4-1 to Chelsea

I have to agree with you here Ally.
If you change at LHR then your flight is not direct.
More confusing airline speak if you ask me.

Don't worry Ally, at least you know what happens to a turd on an aeroplane (answer on different thread).
''Direct'' in the dictionary will probably be different to what the airline industry mean by direct (no change of flight number).

have seen taxis there every time i have been thru the airport, and i think the can do the rip off because it's a military airport, and the big guys at the airport get there part off the money, and then don't let the private meter taxis inn.
