Too bad about Bali good news is I am now going Phuket instead. I Will be down from japan for 2 weeks in Novmber and the GF for the first one. I ran through the hotel list and its abit over whelming and you never realy know what your getting from 3 pictures and small note. Looking for something under 4000 bht on the beach, bugalow style. Peaceful like with a good massage for her. For the second it sounds like C&N is the place to stay. Thanks for any help

hi covert, welcom --the c&n isnt by the beach and has no pool or gardens
if your coming with your g/f you can book into a nice family hotel adjacent to the beach
the more expensive hotels have more facilitys and some have bungalows too
i cant reccomend any "posh" hotels as i come to phuket alone ,and find myself a "lady" when i get there! most of the hotels mentiond here, are for us single guys and are friendly to our bar girlfriends!(inc the c&n!)

i was just lookig at banthai. check that out.
a little more expensive is baan yin dee, very nice, no spa though.

Normally I stay in the Phuket Cabana, right on the beach. But they are still rebuilding (probably till end November or December) so I stayed this year in Patong Bay garden Resort. On the beach, in front of Savoey Seafood. Excellent rooms, not so happy about food but places enough to eat in Patong.

My choice would be Holiday Inn - Busakorn wing.

I will check out the sugestions and as my GF will be only staying for the first week the C&N or Expat sound just like my kind of place.

Your gf could get some thinkabouts what you will do the second week alone, when you stay near Bangla Road with her. So maybe it is better, if you stay with her far from the szene and move to another hotel on the second week.

There are many bungalows around Nai Harn beach, Sunset beach resort at Karim bay is very nice too and not expensive. There are some very nice bungalows at the end of Kata Noi beach in the hills.

my man don't stay in patong first week with gf stay somewhere quiet like kata noi or kamala,if she sees bangla at night no way will she leave you there by yourself

Thanks for saving me. Its my first time to Phuket.. In Bali most of the scene is over in Sanur so the GF has never had a clue. Thought it might not be right out in the open. So the scene is like pattaya then. I was there about six years back and loved it, but it is no place to bring a young Japanese girl that thinks I can do no wrong..

No if she hasnt seen Bangla it would be a bad idea to bring her here then she leaves before you.. Try Kata for nice luxury each environment.. could have a night on the town and frequent the discos not bars (try a route of Banana until midnight.. Tiger after.. Perhaps Baya late) all the while tut tutting and making dissaproving looks.. Then take her home going on about how seedy it all has become..

If you can afford it maybe the Laguna is not a bad idea
