Stayed there in July, no problems, no guest fee. When you walk in there is a divide between the reception and the entrance to the hotel itself.Just get your friend to go directly to the stairs whilst you go to the desk for the key.
Do the same in the morning.

Had no problem, even met some hotel staff on the stairs. Stayed 10 days and was never even asked for fee, id card or anything.
Rooms are good if a little small, they did try to stiff me for a cigarette burn on a napkin 600 baht but when I said it was like that when I came they never mentioned it again.
ps the chemist two doors down sells the little blue pill and will even deliver!!!!

Can anyone else confirm norrie's post about the Burasari?

Am looking for a "relatively upmarket" place in Phuket which is friendly towards the single male traveller.

Cheers. The Baan Yin Dee looks pretty nice. Right up there at the top of hill, yeah?!

Though it is only 20 or 21 rooms? Sounds small, which means that I might have "missed the boat" in terms of getting a booking for peak season 2005/06. I'll check.

At this stage, looking at either the Baan or Burasari.

Regards
MC
