Real Fun For A Week!
I'll have about 10 days to really enjoy Patong. Money isn't an issue but I don't want to stay in those elegent, stuffy resorts. I would rather be where the action is but with 5 star class. I'm comming from Las Vegas so fancy hotels bore me. I would rather enjoy a "cool place to chill" without any problems with visitor fees or dirty looks from the reception desk ect. Any suggestions? THANKS!

In Phuket you can either have:
a) 4/5 * hotels or,
b) girl friendly places
I don't think you can have both (unlike Bangkok)

My take on it also,
Try C&N, basic but friendly, or Salathai Resort which is quite nice (good pool etc) and a little more expensive

Club Bamboo
Thanks for the info guys. I've also checked out the Club Bamboo, penthouse suite. It seems pretty resonable too. Like I mentioned before, a very nice, cool place to chill out and have an excellent (classy) time with new friends without the hassle of party poopers. Before I get to Patong, I'll be in Koh Samui and Pattaya for a few days. I got very lucky and found a very well recommended apartment in Pattaya. Any other suggestions? THANKS!

Thara Patong
This is a great hotel in the middle of Patong and girl friendly. The suites are incredible especially the ones on the ground floor because you get your own private access to the pool.

If you are going to get into the action any want company don't worry about looks from the staff. It's NOT America where the PC people have driven good red blooded men into exile. Most guest houses along Ratutit Road are all GF and fairly cheap. One that my mates use is the Patong Street Inn which has just opened its new upmarket wing and has a large swimming pool.
Remember you are you -screw people and their stiff necked opinions.

Again, Thanks! I think the Thera Patong is a bit too BLAA but thanks for the tip. And, I did check out the guest book . I agree with Crustasian's remark 100% I've lived abroad most of my life and since I've been here in Vegas I've forgotten what the real world is like. I'm still considering the Bamboo Club or The Yorkshire Inn.

The Yorkshire Inn
It looks like the Yorkshire Inn is winning. I'm still open to all suggestions, even resorts if you have a good tip.

based on the guestbook, the hotel is now more than 20 years old, but regular guests look young for many years... Or maybe i missed someting ?
Think you are only allowed for writing into the guestbook after at least 15 stays.

Hey Chesterdog I am from Vegas also. Dude If you want a great location, cool hotel, clean, and Babe friendly in the hart of all the action but still a nice hotel with good food try the www.summerbreezehotel.com I have stayed their 5 times and always felt good about the staff and having girls with me, they treat them like regular guest.I also like the Sea sun sand hotel but to far away from the action and you need to take a tuk tuk to bangla. Hey when you going I will be at the Breeze Nov 15-Jan 10

summerbreeze?
I'm trying to book Summerbreeze for late November but haven't heard anything back from them for 3 days. Also, Thara Patong used to be very girl friendly but they have changed their policy. It now costs 700 baht and the girl has to be out by 10 and can't use any of the facilities such as the pool. I stayed there many times and loved it but that's too much for me now.

summerbreeze booked?
Spud,
I think I'm booked at Summerbreeze. It looks like a few people are looking for the summer suite. I'm not sure how many of those rooms they have or if it's just one. I'll be there late November/early December. Has anyone stayed in the summersuite at the Summerbreeze and is it worth the extra money? Also, did you have to reserve your room with credit card or just email? Thanks
