Deevana Resort / Tony Resort

Hi,

I'm new to the board..so please go gentle!

Arriving in Phuket on the 31st Oct for 4-5 nights and am looking for some guidance on where to stay in Patong.

I spent a few nights last year at Tony Resort and couldn't really find much to fault it with except the pool was a bit over-looked....but considering the price and location it was good value. Been looking around this year for possible alternatives and have come up with the Devana Resort which looks nice, similar location and is in similar price range....possibly a liitle cheaper. Has anyone got any recent experience of either of these 2 or has any other recommendations in the Patong area, if so it would be much appreciated....looking to pay upto about 1700 baht and ideally walking distance to the beach.

Also I will be arriving on the last day of "low season" 31st Oct but staying till the 5th Nov which is 5 days into "High Season"....what are the odd's on me getting the low season rate for the duration? I guess it may be a case of if you don't ask you don't get? I've seen rates on the internet...but as it's still early in the season am I better to just turn up and try and negotiate on arrival?

Cheers in advance.

Greg

Hi Greg

Welcome to the forum

It sounds like Patong Villa Hotel is what you might like.

Nice pool, good clean rooms and very close to Bangla 3/5 mins walk,on the beach road.

http://www.patongvilla.com/booking.htm

I think you will find when low/high season prices cross over during your stay, they will calculate each day depending on the period it falls into
